Forecasting Deals with Stages

Hi Community!

We're having some challenges accurately forecasting deals with stages. We have weighted our stages (Discovery > Presentation > Negotiation > Proposals Delivered > Contract Out), assigning 'Contract Out' with 90% weight of winning. This is still not accurate and wondering if other users have found hacks or other settings to solve this issue.

Can you score deals like leads? Are there other solutions or hacks?
