I'd say the filtering works, but the fact that you have added the additional company filters in the same filter group means one deal needs be associated to all those companies, which will not be the case. You can see in your screenshot the logic operator is AND when in fact it should be OR.
As a general rule of thumb, if you want to exclude a large number of individual companies it might be easier to create a company property and simple work with one filter on that property (e.g. if is set, or has a specific value, or not) rather than adding and excluding individual companies.
