Embedding Tableau Reports in HubSpot Dashboards

Reading through a few of the posts on the Community here it doesn't seem like a solution to this issue has been posted yet.

We would like to embed Tableau reports into our HubSpot dashboards as external content. As was suggested in other posts, we've tried using the Tableau-generated URLs and embed codes, and neither are not working, even when adding a </script> tag at the end. We've successfully embedded these in other programs such as Workboard, but for some reason HubSpot doesn't want to play with Tableau.

Has anyone had luck with this? Tableau is our most reliable source for sales data, so it would be excellent to view it alongside our leading indicators of success that we're housing in HubSpot. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Yeah, this is a known limitation — HubSpot dashboards don’t currently support embedding external content that relies on iframe or script tags the way other platforms like Workboard or Confluence do. Even with the embed code or Tableau’s shareable URL, it tends to get stripped or blocked.

If your goal is to view HubSpot and Tableau data side by side, you could use Coefficient, certified on the HubSpot marketplace, which has native connectors in spreadsheets for both Tableau and HubSpot. 

You can essentially, pull your Tableau report into Google Sheets, set it on a refresh schedule, then use native external content embed functionality in your HubSpot dashboard to sync the visualization side by side with the others in HubSpot. I made a video on this recently.

We have a lot of users that leverage Coefficient as middleware in this way because of it's flexibility.

It’s not the same as embedding Tableau directly into HubSpot, but it does give you a way to view both sets of metrics in one place.

Would definitely love to see HubSpot support more flexible embeds in the future.
