I'd like to see a rolling week on week status update on a deal so we can see what activitoes and actions have taken place within a deal stage to move it forward.
I've created a custom field called next steps, that sales reps can log updates to, however, to determine the cummulatove actions and changes, I need a rolling record of these updates.
I'm not aware of a way to create a custom property that reflects rolling updates. Unfortunately custom properties are not designed to work that way as reports can't reference the history of a property, only its latest value.
Instead, you could create a custom report on deals and sales activities (Menu > Reports > Reports > Create custom report > Custom Report Builder > Deals + Sales activities).
You would then set up your report like shown below:
The report itself would look this:
(Deal names and stages removed.)
By clicking into the numbers, you can access the deal and check the activity.
This report would require your sales team to log activities on the deal records (emails, meetings, calls), otherwise they would not show up here.
You can of course further adjust this report to suit your needs, this would be a starting point.
Hope this helps!

I have a rolling activity report at the momemtn and it's working well to ensure momentum on deals week by week.
I do still need an ability to be able to get a status of / next action log week on week and would be great not to have to do a export weekly and recreate my own rolling report. If any ideas come up on how esle to set this up, please let me know.
Could you elaborate a bit more how the above report would be insufficient? If you change the Activity date filter to "is less then 7 days from now", you would see all scheduled activities (tasks, meetings) for the next week.
Best regards!
