Deal - Company with no URL or Domain

We are trying to track a couple of Deals, but the companies with which we are working do not have a URL or a Domain. My first thought was to mark the company as our own and use that as a placeholder. Has anyone run into this situation before and how did you go about reporting the Deal?

Thanks

Hi @SCameronLEDG,

Unless someone made the company domain name a required field n your company create form, you should be able to create a company without a domain name just fine. HubSpot will suggest that it's better to have one bit it's not a requirement.

Once you have the company record, you can associate it to the deal like you would any other company.

Is there anything specific you think you're missing out on in the approach?

Best regards

@PatrickHs yep, my previous answer is still true:

  • While you can make the field required, it is optional in general - and in your screenshot, too.
  • Correct, it cannot be removed - and it shouldn't, as the company domain is the unique identifier for companies.

Is that true? Because the HubSpot record creation form doesn't allow the removal of the property

And you can't progress without it:

I can't find a workaround for this.
