Days in Pipeline??

Hello,

I need to report on how many days a deal is in the pipeline. Is there a field already created to report on that? Or can someone give me a simple formula? I would need "todays date"-Create Date but can't figure out how to do that.

Any help appreciated!

Days in Pipeline??

Hi @SComeau,

There's a new beta to create a "time since" or "time until" calculation property! 🙌

This knowledge base article has more information

Here's how to join the beta:

Days in Pipeline??

Hi @SComeau,

There's a Days to Close property that's automatically calculated. Is that what you're after moreso than the total time in the pipeline?

Each stage automatically gets its "Cumulative time in XYZ stage".

You may take a look at the Sales Analytics report to see if that provides some out of the box reporting you may need.

Days in Pipeline??

Thanks for the suggestion, I checked and it only gives average time in each stage by rep. The Days to Close doesn't help since it truly takes the Close Date-Create Date. I need Todays Date-Create Date.

Days in Pipeline??

Ah, ok. Unfortunately, when creating a calculated property in HubSpot, there's not a today() function like in Excel.

The workaround I can think of, which would be a one-time setup is as follows...

1.)  Create a Today deal property

2.) Create a workflow that runs daily to apply today's date to all deals scheduled to run daily by using the date the workflow ran.

3.) Create a calculated deal property subtracting "Today" from "Create Date"

Be careful that you don't have any automations triggering off an updated deal since the workflow will be updating all deals in your pipeline daily.

Days in Pipeline??

Hi @SComeau! This may not be exactly what you're hoping for but I think it's getting there. For each pipeline stage there is a property called "Cumulative time in "[pipeline stage]." Here I've pulled them into a Deal Report.

Here's the output:

Why the gaps? I'm not initially sure about that. It'll take some more playing around, but this should get you started. From here, for the full total amount of time in the pipeline, I would export the data and use a spreadsheet to tally the time.

Days in Pipeline??

Thanks, I knew we had that available but it isn't working for what I need. We need an easy way to determine how long a deal is in the pipeline. Even if I export that data, it only exports in hours and not days so it is very clunky. This seems so simple...I can't understand why we can't get this data. We need a "Todays Date" field desperately for calulating these things. Thanks for trying!
