Cumulative Time in Deal Stage reporting not correct

SOLVE

Good morning,

I'm creating a report that shows the median time spent in deal stages for deals created in the last month. However, this report seems innacurate. It shows no time for the deal stage "Chased Pitch, but I have 5 deals sat at this stage in my pipeline currently, some of which have been there for days.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this or know any common issues with these cumulative properties?
Thanks!

Cumulative Time in Deal Stage reporting not correct

SOLVE

Hi @samval,

This is expected behavior, please see the definition of this field:

Cumulative time in [stage ID]: the cumulative time spent by the deal in the stage. This is helpful if deals re-enter a stage multiple times and you want to track their total time in the stage. When a deal is currently in a stage, it will have no value for this property, unless it had previously been in that stage. In that case, its value will include the previous time in the stage and will not update until the deal leaves the stage.

HubSpot is about to provide the functionality you're asking for:

[Automated Rollout] "Current stage" calculated properties for Deals

What is it?

Professional and Enterprise customers will now have access to two new HubSpot default deal properties:
Date entered current stage
Time in current stage

Why does it matter?

The "Time in current stage" property offers visibility into a deal record's duration in its current stage, to help you identify stalled records and bottlenecks in a sales pipeline.

How does it work?

Each deal record will have its own "Date entered current stage" property and "Time in current stage" property. As a deal record moves through a pipeline, the values of these properties will be automatically updated. You can:
View the value and history of these properties on any deal record
Build the properties into automated workflows, to scale your sales process (e.g. when "Time in current stage" is greater than 5 days, send follow-up email)

Create reports to view data filtered on these properties
Use the properties as an input to other property calculations
Display these properties on the Kanban board cards

Who gets it?

Professional Customer Platform, Enterprise Customer Platform, Marketing Pro, Marketing Enterprise, Operations Pro, Operations Enterprise, Sales Pro, Sales Enterprise
