Hi all, we are still getting our HubSpot instance dialed in and could use some advice/help. We recently added contacts to all of our deals. We then added association labels to those contacts. Unfortunately, we have been unable to create lists based on the association labels for those contacts.
For instance: Tim Smith is associated to Deal A as a contact
Tim Smith is given the association label "LMS Admin" as a contact in Deal A
We have been unable to figure out how to create a list of contacts that have the association label "LMS Admin".
So if I understand you correctly, this should be done effortlessly:
The confusing thing about building a list is, that you need to define another filter criteria for the deals beforehand. Something like Deal Stage or if you want all the Deals with LMS Admins, Deal Name should work as well.
So,
you build a contact list with the criteria of some deal property and after selecting that, you can dial in more by defining the label. Otherwise, it will show all contacts, no matter the label. See this screenshot here for more detail:
Did that answer your question? If so, please help the community out by marking this as a solution so other people with similar questions find it more easily.
You need to choose Custom Report Builder and include both Deals and Contacts in your report. The Association Label is assigned to a contact, not a deal. So, in order for that filter to appear, you need to include both Deal data and Contact data in the report.
This filter does not seem to appear in our instance as well. There doesn't appear to be any way to select the association label as a filter option. Can you provide more details as to what it looks like when you are selecting the association label as part of that filter?

I am trying to do this exact same thing but I am not seeing 'labels' or anything vagueley similar to 'association' in my options, other than 'Number of Associations'.
Therefore I am unable to create these filters. Are you aware of whether ot not there has been a change of name for this filter option and if so, please do provide some more specific guidance. I have searched under both Contact and Deal properties in the list filters.
Same here. It feels like there was a change in the software that does not allow Deal associations to be used in creating Contact lists anymore. I wish a Hubspot specialist could clarify if this is the case.
