Creating a report on sequences filtered by associated campaign
SOLVE
Hi all, I wanted to create a report on sequences filtered by associated campaign, so I could check also for every campaign how sequences are doing or aggregate sequences data by campaign but I can't find how to do it. I can't add both campaign and sequences as data source as both are events and neither in sequence or in campaign data there is a way to show this data.
We are currently using a workaround using sequences folders, but in this way we can't add this report in another dashboard as you ca see it only on the sequences page.
Is there a way to do it in a report I can add to a dashboard? Thank you

Correct, HubSpot currently does not offer reporting that directly connects Sequences and Campaigns. These both are treated as event based objects (campaign as marketing event and sequence as sales) and HubSpot's custom reporting tool has limitations when combining two event sources like these. You can try below options:
Use Contact Properties for Reporting: Create a custom property on contact level and update that using the workflow when a contact is enrolled in a sequence. You can use the same for you reporting.
Try naming conventions for sequences along with the campaign name like campaign name-sequence title.
Export the data and join them outside. You can use Excel, looker studio, google sheets or analytical tools like powerBI, Tableau
If this reporting gap is critical for your team, I highly recommend upvoting or commenting on the related Ideas Forum post so HubSpot can prioritize it.
HubSpot treats sequences and campaigns as separate data types, and unfortunately, there's no native way to connect them in reporting. That’s why workarounds like sequence folders don’t work for dashboards.
You can try these Options-
A: Custom Property or Workflow Tagging
Add a custom contact property like "Associated Campaign."
Set it when enrolling a contact in a sequence
Use that property to filter or group in reports later
B: External Reporting via API
Export sequence and campaign data
Combine in Google Sheets, Excel, or a BI tool
Manually map sequences to campaigns (by naming or tagging)
C: UTM Parameters in Sequence Emails
Add UTM codes to links in sequence emails
Use campaign reports to track visits, conversions, etc.
This doesn’t track enrollments but does give campaign-level attribution
