Hi,
I would like to create a report with the number of companies presented by industry type. Either a report or just the count would do. I don't want to manually have to count this each time.
Cheers
Cesar

Hey @Cesapo ,
thank you for reaching out to the community. This should be fairly easy to do, depending on which data is available. HubSpot has a feature that if enable sorts companies into a specific industry automatically. If you're maintaining your own property and data on the industry of a company, that works in the same way.
Here is how you can create such a report within a couple of clicks:

Hi @Cesapo ,
This is definitely possible in HubSpot! Here's how I would set it up:
1. Click Reports from the main menu and select Reports from the drop-down
2. Select the orange Create Report button in the corner
3. Choose Single Object
4. Choose the object "Companies"
5. When the report opens the default selected property is industry. If it is not there by default for you, click "Add Company Property" and add Industry
6. Click the grey "Filters" button to adjust the company create data and add any other filters you may want.
7. Click the Visualization tab
8. Drag the Industry and Count of Companies properties to the grey box under Displaying
9. You should now have a report showing the count of companies by industry! Hit the orange Save button in the corner and it will save as a report!
I hope this was helpful!

The great thing about this, @Cesapo, is that when you have your settings set to auto create and associate Companies, HubSpot pushes data into the Company record from their massive database, populating Industry at the Company Object level. Or if you prefer, you can manually manage that property, too.
Then you can follow the other community members' advice to create your report.
P.S. Another thing I love about HubSpot is that you create the report and it brings real-time, continuous data to you. You don't have to build or "run the report" each week. All the best!
Did this post help solve your problem? You can help others find answers when you accept a reply as a solution. (I also appreciate it!)
