Hello community...
We would like to create more detailed company profiles on data we would collect in onboarding interviews with organizations. I am concerned that this data can change frequently (perhaps quarterly to up annually). If we create properties, it does give us the opportunity to report and look for trends across companies, but what happens when the property gets overridden because their goals changed? Can we report on prior historical answers?
How have others collected onboarding information successfully so that you could review for 1 to many in reporting?
What data exactly are you capturing and how are you envisioning reporting on changes over time? Generally, HubSpot reports will only surface the current value of a field – unless you're on an Enterprise subscription and create a property change event: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/create-a-property-change-event
You could also consider logging all the captured information in a note on the company record, to freeze it in time, with the help of a snippet that has personalization tokens for all captured fields: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/conversations/use-snippets
