Cannot Retrieve Custom Property in Google Looker Studio
SOLVE
Hi everyone,
thanks for taking the time to read this! A client of mine wants to track how many people in a respective time period have been sent an offer. For that purpose, a filter can be applied to all deals with [Date entered "Offer is sent"]. Unfortunately, this field is not available in Looker Studio via any connector.
To work around the non-existence of this filter in LS, the client has set up a custom property, which gets triggered via a workflow to set a date field corresponding to the date the offer is sent out (see screenshot)
This field is available in Looker, but too inprecise to be of use. How would you approach such a problem? I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

Hi @Nicolas_Maiwald you could copy this property data to a custom property you create on a deal object and pass that data point. Then you should be able to pull it into Looker Studio since the native integration allows to query custom properties on all the objects. Let me know if this helped.

Hi all, thanks for all your answers! I've found a workaround by now to first send all the data concerning the "Offers" to a Google Sheet and then retrieve it from their in Looker Studio. Somehow directly pulling it from Hubspot to Looker via the Power My Analytics or Super Metrics connector did not work, but via a Google Sheet works perfectly.

Apologies for the slow response—I've been away on holiday for the past month. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "too imprecise to be of use"? Is the issue with how the workflow is being triggered (i.e., not always setting the date stamp), or is the custom property itself not capturing the required information (such as missing or incomplete timestamps)?
Once I have a bit more clarity, I should be able to assist further.

Hi @Nicolas_Maiwald and welcome to the Community! We are thrilled to have you here!
Great question, thanks for asking the Community!
I understand that you are using the "Looker Studio Integration" integration and you'd like to sync a custom property. Please let me know if that's not the case.
I love the workaround that you put in place, that's a really good idea! But you are saying that it is not precise enough.
Have you tried in the workflow, to use, instead of the "set property value" to "copy property value"? Would that work better I wonder?
