Building a report for time between form submission, and Sales first contact after submission.

SOLVE

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to build out a report that:

  • Captures the time between a specific form submission and the time that it takes for a Sales team member to contact that person only after that specific form submission (and not capturing follow-ups that happen after).

I think I have the conditional logic figured out to capture people that come to the specific form, but the issue that I'm facing is that I imagine the "Most recent Contacted date" changes with the most recent interaction and not necessarily the first one that happens after the form had been submitted. I'm trying to figure out a calculated property to reflect this but am coming up short and would appreciate any insights.

Quick note: There is a chance that the Contact owner is already known, so that's where the Form Submission Date becomes almost imperative, since it's not necessarily a "Lead assigned date", it's the "Form submission date" that's important.

Thanks!

@McBainKD - Could this be workflow with:

  • the form submission as the enrollment triggerand
  • a step to stamp the date into a custom 'Submitted X form' datepicker property
  • a delay until event happens > Contact in this workflow > Property changes action which looks to the value in the 'Last contacted'
  • a step to date stamp into a custom 'Followed up by Sales after X form' datepicker property

Then you could create a calculation time between property for your report?

The issue I have with this solution is that the calculation is too vague.

The difference between the two time stamps can be 10 minutes or more, yet the calculation only displays 'a few seconds'.

The time between calculation doesn't actually seem to be useful at all. It lacks any precision for short, or long time frames.

Any idea why?

It doesn't seem hard to calculate the difference between two time stamps...

@HFisher7
Just wanted to say thank you for this.
I hadn't really thought of using the "Delay until event" property before and you've opened up a world of opportunity.

Much appreciated.
