I don't think this is possible out of the box, I'm not aware of any default reporting features that could help here.
If you want to set this up, it would require custom number properties that update via workflow. After a contact reaches a stage, you would use a contact-based workflow to increate the property value of that custom number property whenever there is a call or meeting.
You could then report on this number property.
This would only work going forward, not historically / retroactively.
