Adding Goal Target Line to a Custom Report

SOLVE

We have a custom report that shows revenue by month based on a custom field called "Revenue Recognition Date".

I want to be able to add a goal line for each month to this report. Is there a way to do this? Or, is there a different report that would work?

I've explored Goals, but that isn't connected to the line items, just the total amount of a Deal.

Adding Goal Target Line to a Custom Report

SOLVE

Hey @traviskl. Do you want the goal line to just be a text field showing the goal? Or would this be a dynamic field that updates when the goal changes? Or maybe it shows the goal, and then the delta between your current data and the goal you've set?

I dont know of a way to add text to a report like in the first question. But for the other two scenarios, could you have "goal" as its own property, and maybe create a calculated property to show that delta? It might be a case of having a second report and putting them on a dashboard next to each other. I've found sometimes breaking things up rather than trying to fit them all in one report is helpful.

Thanks for the response. I do want them on one report - I could try a calculated property field. I'll play around with that.
