Activity Feed Settings - Not Seeing Everyone's Activity

SOLVE

At the moment, the activity shows everyone's email activity. I'd like to be able to set this so that most individual users only see their own activity in the feed, rather than the entirety of the group.

Is that possible?

Hi @EHanson8 it sounds like you're looking at the dashboard, which means that you can set a filter by Owners to "Me" which means that whoever is viewing the dashboard will only see their activity.

If a manager needs to see for different users, I recommend creating a per user dashboard with preset filters per user.

I hope this helps!

Hey Jennifer, thanks for your response (I'm taking over this issue from EHanson).

The problem is that we'd like to set it so that members of our sales team don't actually have the ability to view each other's email activity in the feed, only their own.

I understand they have the ability to filter the feed for their own activity, but that means they could access each other's at any time. Can the permissions be set so that's not possible?

@SRickman the permissions are set by who owns the contact, company, etc., so if you have different sales reps working with the same company, it won't be possible to exclude activity from other reps, but you can do this for notes.

Have you already reviewed their individual permissions?

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I've been looking for. Could you please help me navigate to the view in that screenshot? 😁

ah ha! of course, @SRickman here's how you find it:

1 - click settings widget in upper right

2 - Click Users & Teams under Account Setup in the left sidebar

3 - Hover over the user to reveal the Actions button, click and choose Edit

4 - this takes you to a permissions overview, where you have to click Edit Permissions

5 - expand object access here

6 - update as needed

Depending on your HubSpot Subscription, and whether you have Teams and/or Roles defined, the steps might vary, but this should get you to the right spot.

Hi @EHanson8 happy to help find a solution that works for your team.

Can you clarify where you are looking at the activity feed? Since it can be accessed in multiple locations, this would help me to understand what you're looking to change and what the options available are.

Hey Jennifer, thanks for replying. I didn't realize there were multiple access points, so I'm just talking about the default screen you see when you first log in, which I believe is the same one I see if I click the Hubspot logo in the top-left from anywhere.
