Contacts are being auto created with no name, no email address.

Anyone notice contacts in your HubSpot portal with no name, no email, but there is information in their contact record? We cannot pinpoint how these are being created, but seem to be associated with new customers signing a sales contract on a HubSpot LP.

Process: When prospects are approved for purchase, they receive an email with a CTA linking them to a Smart HubSpot LP, showing their sales contract. When some prospects complete short signature form and Submit, new "blank" contacts are being created (see below). There is specific sales contract information in the "blank" Contact Records, but we don't know why they are being created. This issue is not specific a device or browser. Please reply if you have experienced this or have suggestions on troubleshooting the issue. Thanks!

Hey @scotthAKC,

Does the form that the contacts are filling out require them to fill out their email address and name? Would you be able to share the link to the page this is happening on?

Thanks,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for your reply. The contract form does not show at all unless HubSpot knows the viewer. The LP has a module where if the contact is known, the LP will show their contract. If the viewer is unknown, they can't see the form, rather they see a message, "You are not eligible to view this page." If the viewer has already signed and submitted their contract, they see a message, "You already signed the contract on (date)."

The form include email address or name fields.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Scott
