Hi, When I google myself, my art website is the first result, but the meta description doesn't match what I have in my back office. It reads on Google: "Axelle Gouverneur's blog for sharing content related to retail.". I've checked everywhere and I cannot find the source of this meta description.
I initially had trouble with the default blog homepage showing on my root domain and found the solution here. I wonder if this description could be a similar problem associated with a hidden default on the Hubspot theme 'Growth'.
How can I get my correct meta description to show in Google?
This sounds like your meta description might just be cached in Google. Use the "Inspect URL" tool in Google Search Console to force a re-crawl of your homepage. That tells Google to refresh its information about your site, which should replace the old description with your updated one if all is set up correctly. It can take a little time for the change to show in search results, though.
Let me know how it goes! If you're still stuck, we can dig into more specific HubSpot settings together.

Thanks for your help! I did what you suggested and requested a recrawl of the page. I'll let you know when it's done. For now, the crawled page HTLM still shows the incorrect meta description.
In the meantime, I ran a live test of the page. The HTML of the test does display the updated meta description so I'm hopeful the recrawl will solve my problem.
If you have any other recommendations, please let me know!
