As we all know, effective marketing cannot not be done with a one-size-fits-all strategy. My team is looking for help to find out what kind of content is most effective with contacts in different life-cycle stages within the sales process.
Within my organization we have sales stages as defined by the following:
Stage 1: Awareness
Stage 2: Target/ Discovery
Stage 3: Pricing
Stage 4: Proposal
Stage 5: Contract
Here are some content categories that we use or will be using in the future: e-newsletters, white papers, videos, e-guides (informative online brochures), social media posts and live webinars
Do any of these fit better than the other based upon the stages listed above? What are some thoughts here?
It is different guides out of there, and so many directions that you can take with content creation. However, a great start could be this chart that divides per stage the type of content that we recommend.
Buyer's Journey stage and content
Looking into your stages:
Stage 1: Awareness
Stage 2: Target/ Discovery (Consideration stage)
Stage 3: Pricing (Consideration/ Decision stage)
Stage 4: Proposal (Decision stage)
Stage 5: Contract (They had decided already, maybe a more specific newsletter for the product will be great)

Content Marketing is about trying, analyzing, and finding the best strategy that works for your business. You have to test each type of content for every stage. An informative video or social media post anything can work best for the awareness stage. Also, you need to analyze your customers and their preferences, issues, and expectations. I hope you get my point.
