Redirect URLs that do not work due to format

I am experiencing an issue with a few URLs that are not redirecting. Below is an example:

https://www.mydomain.com/blog/https.www.mydomain.com

..these are URLs that a site scanner is picking up. I have entered it as the original URL and it will not redirect to the destination URL, it just gives a 404 Error page. Any guidance on this?

Hi @thecoolcoder,

Redirection issue is something very common. To get it resolved, firstly, make sure the origins URL and destination URL is updated correctly. Still, if you are facing the same issue, then I would recommend you to create a new site map, add the new URLs and submit it to the webmaster. This way, you can resolve the redirection issue and retain your website traffic.

I was able to successfully see the redirect to the page without giving me a 404 error. 

I just wanted to confirm if you are still experiencing this in your end?  Sometimes It can take up to a few hours for the redirect to be completed.
