New Home Page Design

SOLVE

Hello community

I've a basic SEO related question, we're going to change our home page design and content soon. Which one will be the best practice?

Option A: Edit the existing page on hubspot on draft mode and publish when its ready
Option B:  Create a new page and do the edits on it, when its ready unpublish the old one and publish the new one.

Thanks

Hi @ozgesila

Both approaches are basically the same from an SEO standpoint as Google will ultimately see new content at the same URL (assuming you change the URL to the original in option B).

A better way to do it, however, is to use content staging (assuming you have CMS Hub) to clone your live page including its URL and meta data, make changes to the closed version and then push that live.

Redesign and relaunch your site with content staging

Hope this helps?
