Hi @nanoomarketing happy to help with updating your sitemap.

In HubSpot, only website and blog pages are automatically added to your sitemap.

Typically, landing pages are used for ads, social campaigns, etc. and aren't usually considered part of your website - they're excluded so that they don't show in search results and interfere with conversion rate tracking.

In your Settings, under Content > Domains & URLs, click the Sitemap tab, then you can manually add your landing page:

I created a template that was technically a landing page, and used it to create articles and other similar web pages. Obviouslt I will stop doing that now.

Is there any quick way to update those templates (more than 50) to make them web pages?

Is there a bulk upload for the sitemap?

Thanks,
Shannon

Hi @PSM there is a function available in CMS/Content Hub Pro that allows pages to be moved from LPs to Website and vice versa, if you have a pro or enterprise subscription you can access it here:

With Free/Starter this is not an option and you would have to manually add each landing page to the sitemap.

One option would be to enroll in the 14-day trial for content hub pro/enterprise, move your pages over during the trial, and then resume your regular subscription.

There's a limit to how frequently you can enroll in the trial, so if you've already completed a trial you may not be able to again.

This is awesome!
When an LP is moved to a Website, will it be added to the sitemap at that time?

Thank you.

you're welcome @PSM! Yes, website pages are added to the sitemap automatically (they can be removed manually).

Website pages = automatic add, manual remove

Blog pages = automatic add, manual remove

Landing pages = manual add and remove

Sorry, 1 more quick one..
I have some landing pages that may have been added to the sitemap or otherwise picked up by Google and are ranking well. Will moving the page from LP to WP affect in a way that might affect rankings at all?

Google will index those pages whether they are LPs or WP whether they are on your sitemap or not unless you have robots.txt to tell them otherwise. Once your sitemap is updated, you can submit it to Google Search Console and it should retain all of the rankings - those pages would help the other pages since Google would know how they're related based on the sitemap.
