How do you properly connect SEO content posting with SMM for AIO-related tasks?

SOLVE

I'm working on a new project, and one of the key points is setting up the SEO + SMM posting process. The stakeholder is aware that the new AIO algorithms tend to prioritize LinkedIn posts over blog posts on local websites, but they still need to distribute the content across all company social media platforms.

What’s the best way to signal to Google that website posts should be preferred for AIO snippets?

I’d appreciate any insights or experience you can share.

How do you properly connect SEO content posting with SMM for AIO-related tasks?

SOLVE

The process of building well-structured content for AIO is still a bit unclear, but there are a few ways to optimize your content and improve its chances of appearing in AIO snippets. The key is making sure you target the right intent—this is crucial for snippet optimization. Platforms like LinkedIn or other high-authority sites will likely rank well in AIO, but it's important to tailor your content specifically for LinkedIn rather than AIO. This way, you can repurpose the same content and ensure it's heading in the right direction for both platforms.

Also, don't forget about some old SEO-content-rules:

  • Structured Data (Schema): Add schema markup to your posts so Google understands what your content is about. This is especially helpful for FAQs and How-tos, which can make your posts more snippet-friendly.

  • Focus on Quality: Make sure your blog content is top-notch—clear, informative, and directly answers common questions. Google loves content that’s helpful and relevant, so the better you nail that, the more likely your blog will get picked over social posts.

  • Internal Links: Build out a good internal link structure. This helps Google see the connections between your content and signals which posts are more important.

  • Engagement Matters: Even though LinkedIn posts can get a lot of engagement, you can also boost your blog by encouraging comments or interactions. The more value people get from your site, the better it looks to Google.

  • Mobile-Friendly & Fast: Don’t forget about mobile optimization and page speed—Google’s big on user experience, so a fast, mobile-friendly site can give you an edge.

To ensure that Google prioritizes your website's blog posts over LinkedIn posts or other external content in its AIO snippets, you can implement a few strategic SEO practices.
Apply structured data (Schema.org) to your blog posts to help Google understand the context and relevance of the content.logPosting Schema This is especially useful for articles and blog posts. It helps search engines interpret your content as more authoritative than LinkedIn posts.Post Summaries, Not Full Content On LinkedIn and other social platforms, post summaries of your blog content instead of full versions. Always provide a link back to the full article on your website. This reinforces the idea that the website is the source of the content.
