Advanced segmentation in HubSpot: Filters & operators for lists & workflows?

Hello everyone, I would like to know how to implement advanced segmentation and targeting strategies using advanced filters and logical operators in HubSpot lists and workflows. Specifically, I'm interested in creating complex filters with multiple criteria and logical operators to define precise target audiences within lists. I also want to understand how to use these advanced filters within workflows to automate personalized communications based on specific segmentations. Any insights or recommendations on best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

One techincal issue Hubspot support cannot figure out is how to segment customers who have purchased a certain revenue amount in a given year.

Example: Please create a list of customers/contacts who have purchased between 1,000 and 5,000 in 2024. 

Hubspot has a default contact property called "total revenue" however this adds up all deals and does not allow filtering for a given year.

Could you elaborate what exactly you mean when you say complex filter? Can you give an example?
