To determine the success of your content, you have to set goals and track the metrics that make the most sense for your business. This could be page views, conversions, and so on. Keeping this in mind, which metrics matter most to your business and why? Tell us in the comments below.
I believe page views, conversions, and close rate would mean the most in my industry. There is a lot of comparing our services to others' services. Before the close, there is a lot of research involved (page views), before there is contact (conversions), and finally the close rate.
Currently for me it should probably be awareness, but up there with it as my business is growing I need some conversions as well. So the Metrics I've been paying attention too have been both Reach and Purchases, for me to analyze where in the consumer journey my marketing can / may be focused on more.
The metrics that matter most to TheLyfeBrand is the evaluation system in which clients are encourgaed to utilize after each session and or consultation. These surveys enable me to see how many are likely to participate, the material that the clients would prefer to enage with, as well as the effective results during training sessions. Although these types of metics speak in terms of quantity, the quality metric in building professional relationships with clients is the most important to the business. Without clients, there is no business. Without business, it's back to the drawing board. People should be treated as such even if there is an exchange in currency, time, and energy. The best measurement assessment is hearing it from the very people you provide a service for. That's priceless.
Close Rate! Being a freelance writer having clients that close deal is important. I know it is a paid content metric. But, regardless, getting leads + customers is the ultimate goal.
