Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?
Watching or reading different media with the people close to me so we can discuss our opinions or debate on different topics. When I'm alone, I separate my own ideas from theirs to see how it fits into my beliefs/principles. Most of the time, that "eureka" moment happens when I'm walking my dog, taking a shower, or even listening to music. I think that to be creative, we also need to give our brain some room to breathe and process the information
I try to broaden my knowledge by reading widely, watching documentaries and engaging in discussions. My ideas often come to me when I'm in the shower, when I'm taking walks or when I'm trying to find sleep. I quickly write down my thoughts so I won't forget. A variety of things (objects, people, lifestyle) influences my writing at different times and stages.
My creative process involves researching an idea/topic and writing down anything that pops out to me. Also brain storming and brain dumping ideas, and rounding down to my top 3 later on.
To enhance my creative process, I like to engage in various activities such as walking outside, reading books & articles, and watching different videos. These practices help me to broaden my perspectives and inspire new ideas for my creative work.
My creative process starts with taking a long walk and while doing that I allow my mind to wander wild about the idea. At some point, I zero in on a particular thought. The moment that happens, I would record it on my phone voice recorder or note app. I could then go and research more about it and from there develop whatever idea I am working on.
I would always start with the Idea of the content I am making, Either making a new picture relatable to the blog, also relatable to the audience then i will ask the approval of the the team on the multiple options I will provide. Then when the best one is chosen then we can proceed with publishing the blog.
I am not really good at creative ideas. Most of the time, my ideas come when I have a problem to solve. Perhaps brainstorming with team members could be one of the processes.
In other times, when I travel I like to read in-flight magazines and look around surroundings. Everytime I find interesting that I can use for my work, I take photos and highlight/ put a note on them. When I need them, I could find them back on my phone.
My usual creative processes is to research a topic via social media whether it's a keyword with hashtags or videos etc. Once I get a bit more understanding of what's out there and what's needed to set my idea apart, I would brainstorm/list everything that comes to mind, then ask family/friends/colleagues for feedback. Next, it's a process of elimination and I put my focus on the top 3 or 5 strong ideas. Making separate boards on Pinterest to help visualise an idea often draws out the 'eureka' moment.
To generate new ideas, set up regular brainstorming sessions with your team or collaborators. Use techniques like mind mapping, word association, or random stimulus to generate ideas. Encourage open-mindedness and positivity, and evaluate and refine ideas using a process like "six thinking hats." This repeatable framework can cultivate a creative culture and generate fresh ideas on a regular basis.
I am inspired by everything, everywhere! Many times ideas will pop in my head from something I saw or read online, or something I learned from my research about the topic or my target audience (which admiittedly requires more independent thinking). Brainstorming sessions with the creative team is also helpful especially for short form copy or topics. When I still can't come up with something I like, I'll go to the source (website, social media pages, magazine, press release, creative brief, etc). Then, I just start typing until something hits.
Learning from the people who are best or experienced in my field can be a very good option to learn not only new ideas but a way to write about them too. There's a reason why they are the best. I'll learn from them, try to imitate them but not copy. That could be a good step.
Whether it's illustrating a blog or cleaning up our CTAs, my process would always be to narrow things down and categorize everything; then, I move forward to add questions or look for possible improvements to make to then, make the changes and start the same cycle again. The idea is to stay in continuous improvement!
I like to view content on topics that I want to learn more from through content creators from all walks of life. By keeping an open mind on the content produced by a variety of people, I am learning more about what type of buyer personas I should keep in mind. To incorporate this into a repeatable framework, I would write down the ideas of each content creator and determine what each content creator has in common. It can be a common issue that they are dealing with or want to change. I can create content that targets the conflict that they are facing.
