What's your creative process?

Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?

Research, brainstorm, organize, draft, write, and edit.

To come up with ideas,  I brainstorm and go scrolling - this means I scour the internet looking for ideas related to what I am looking for. From social media to Google search to articles to music to movies, anything helps.

I even talk to friends and family. I put this into a repeatable framework and it works as my first line of action before content creation starts. For instance, I have a number of articles bookmarked or in my reading lists. They are my swipe files. I even make a lot of screenshots and I keep those in a separate photo gallery.

I find that music enhances my creativity, so I listen to some music first, consume some more content from other sources and then get to work. When I'm faced with creative block, I find that taking a nap helps a lot.

What's your creative process?

I focus on extensive research on the topic to come up with new ideas. For this, I use social media platforms, and search engines, ask my colleagues and even scour the competition.

My creative process consists of much brainstorming, whether by myself or others. I'm a marketing assistant, so when planning for my role and content posts, I set up various categories of content relevant to my industry and relatable to the buyer persona I'm trying to reach. I can imagine that after some time in this role, I will keep the same elements in the content and change the sequence and approach. Also, scrolling on all social media platforms sparks creativity for me and inspires ideas. Although this may seem leisurely, it's pretty helpful and useful when coming up with content ideas.

In all honesty, most of my ideas and creativity come from my work. While I am doing a photo shoot, the couple, the family, the model, and whomever I am shooting inspires me. Once I am editing their pictures, ideas come to mind for the content needed to promote their pictures. In short, my work inspires my content.

WHAT'S YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?

I simply figure out my Why, How and What. Once I know these, I'm good to go.

Visito siti per raccogliere idee, faccio un check su quello che ho raccolto, e lo riordino sui documenti di Google Drive. Li riordino in ottica Seo continuando a sistemarli e riscrivendoli di tasca mia.

Usually, I have already a topic in mind. So I'll gather materials and research (I am using MyBib for bibliography purposes). On Google Docs, I make an outline of how I will present the topic, mostly Heading 1 first. Then write my ideas in bullet form until I could figure out the shape of the article. Then re-write it until polished.

When it comes to my creative process, I identify my niche first, and then I look for content that people are currently producing in that field. I go through many contents, articles, materials, etc., and carefully analyze them to ensure I understand.

As soon as this process is completed, I begin to write down ideas I've seen and tweak them a bit to make them more my own than the ones I've seen before. At this point, it is still merely a raw file, so I take a few moments to relax. Then come back to it later to make the necessary adjustments and possibly add more.

What's your creative process?

Brain storming, consciously taking my mind off it and relaxing my mind

I need to just put pen to paper and start writing words and first thoughts coming to my mind. Then I look for content online along those areas to see if I can get my own angle. Taking a break also works after I've written down or typed up all my thoughts. When I come back to it, I can then synthesize and pinpoint the idea that I keep gravitating towards and build it out.

My system used to involve multiple word documents of categories of interests and ideas. Before that I just had notebooks that had the same categories; art or work (video production, graphic design, etc.)

Now, I recently stumbled upon building a second brain by Thiago Forter https://www.buildingasecondbrain.com/ I deeply recommend it to any and everyone that has a largely digital life. I'm on day 3 or 4 of using this system. It feels like I have been using it forever. My productivity is way up already.

My ideas come to me all of a sudden, then I write down what I come up with in my notebook. At the end of the day, I will reread and put the ideas in order and rewrite the complete outline. Whenever I need to, I will have to open that notebook to look for ideas that fit my content.

One thing I do to help come up with new ideas is to look for new sources of information to expand my knowledge and understanding of a topic. I can incorporate this into a repeatable framework by creating a library or catalogue of the sources I have found, organized by type (like length, format, depth of information) to track the learning process and identify trends and patterns in the type of content I find most helpful. This would allow me to streamline the process over time by eliminating poor sources of information and elevating reliable sources of information. It would also make the process repeatable by another person.

What's your creative process?

Firstly I research about the content ideas that can fill the gap with the useful information to enhance the readers information. I will think about the ideas that can add value for our audience.

The moment I get a topic to write on, the creative process begins. I ask myself what knowledge of it I have. I then go online to search for more content ideas. Once I gather the bits of information, I start to connects the dots that'll eventually become the result.
