What's your creative process?

Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?

I usually start reading about a topic from different angles to grasp an overview of it. Then, I try to find similarities and differences and to come up with an idea of what I want to write about and how. sometimes, I just need to stop the process and let my mind focusing on something totally different - so that my ideas can be somehow original or interesting

I simply try to look for inspiration by listening to music, reading a book/ document, or watching a video (music video, blog). When I have enough information, I can make ideas.

I almost don't have a process. I read, research and observe everything, then the ideas popped up.

I don't necessarily have a process, but definitely observing in my place of work helps me. Seeing interactions between staff members, how the process works in a medical setting, etc.

One thing I do to help come up with new ideas is research and observe. I see what everyone else is doing. I see what everyone else is not doing. I keep a document with random ideas and pieces for continuous use. I think I could incorporate this into the process suggested by Young; Gathering, Digesting, Unconsciously Processing, and Eureka moment. As of right now, I don't have a process and I am excited to try this!

Find some topics that inspire me and see how to collabrate them. Always remember to write it down because I'll use it in some ways

Usually when I have a raw idea of something, I just grab a pen and a notebook and start mind-mapping the first things that come to my mind. After I while, or when I can't write anything on the paper, I start looking for similar ideas, articles, photos, or other content related to my initial thought. I observe and get some new ideas and continue my mindmap or just start sketching ideas. This can go on for hours, and at some point, I'll have to take a break (go for a run, eat, listen to music, watch tv, or whatever), and most of the time the "eureka" moment comes when I am doing something other than the creative process itself.

The most important thing is to figure out what am I trying to achieve then I start thinking about ideas.
I usually search for more information about the topic I'm planning to do and select contents that can be renewed, combine or rewrite with my perspective.
after I have learned the lesson, I think me and my future teammate should have a repeatable framework like:
-Choose a specific thing and focus on it only. If can, draw a mindmap to choose categories that fit the demand
-Brainstorming, gathering, exploring all the ideas, the possibility of ourselves, people on the internet,, and the competitors through.
-Trim down, select the right  topic which we can spice things up

I don't think that I have the time to "unconscious processing" but I'll keep the ideas if it accidentally pop-ups

- First, I research the market and current demand for the field I want to develop.
- Second, I create content marketing articles that attract customers and promote products in my field.
- Third, I create and attract customer resources.
- Fourth, I use applied learning methods to bring high efficiency.
- Finally, adjust and balance the methods to perfection

I worked at a TVC producing Agency so I had to deal with tons of brief every week. And this is how I try to generate new ideas:

1st: I spent hours and days reading, watching and even buying and consuming the product (if it isn't too expensive haha).

2nd: I wrote down the product's USPs, ingrediences, customers, values, brand's style. Sometime I played "what's on your mind" quick game. I asked my parents, friends to come up scenerios, images, characters, events as much as possible and as quick as possible. That's how I could find the relationships and connections.

3rd: I love running and walking so before I hit the road, I tried to memorize the brief and let my brain work while I stayed healthy. Music helps me a lot on generating new ideas so I love running with my earphones.

4th: Whoala! Here comes the ideas, most of them were rejected but some of them were dealed and I love the Eureka moments, every single time!

I write a list of words that relate to the idea that I want to come up with, then I filter and try to find connections between them.

I can incorporate this into a repeatable framework by writing down a list of key points when gathering raw materials, then use them to generate original ideas.

Is true, the ideas come up in the less expected moment that's why is important to be prepared to record or write that Idea.

And something that I personally do to come up with ideas is read about the topic and try to find content related, now well known as a raw material.

Read published articles to come up with ideas is the way I come up with new ideas. Reading published articles can be incorporated into a repeatable framework by sending published articles for people to read and get information from, and then have them think of some ideas based on what the published article was about.

One thing I do to come up with new ideas is to research by going on different social platforms and further searching particularly compelling ideas online. I can fit this into the first step of the framework — gathering raw materials. Processing and making connections out of these ideas sets the stage for me to follow the rest of this framework.

1. Gathering Raw Material — other companies' ads and social content, articles I read online, social media trends, memorable quotes from movies, books & TV shows, company and personal/lifestyle blog posts, organize them into a spreadsheet or computer folder

2. Digesting Raw Material — look for ways the content I've gathered is related and what from the content fits together

3. Unconscious Processing — take a break from intentionally thinking about the ideas I've gathered, see how they seep into my day to day activities (example: article about parking difficulties pops in my head while I'm looking for parking downtown Chicago)

4. Lightbulb Moment — come up with a new idea based on info I gathered & my own processing (example: new advertising idea for Spothero)

The method that got me the idea was listening to music, watching the sunset, driving around the city. My mood will be relaxed and I will come up with many great ideas.
