Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?
Cliché, but surfing through the internet. I usually have random eureka moments because I saw a post, a news, or a blog. It's helpful if you're someone who uses their free time to just scroll through everything.
I usually research a lot and then take a break and indulge in different activities and then suddenly there's a eureka moment. Brainstorm more on the idea and start writing on it
to consume as much content I can find on the topic at first, notice what's being done, what isn't being done, what's working and what's not. then also looking into similar topics and talk with colleagues, friends to get their input and different perspectives. I always like to take a long walk through the park with my dog as well; being in nature gives me brain a chance to relax and refresh
To look what is happening around me, than would be to take step back from everything and re-analyse what is the best apporch to come with a new idea that would benefit the project. In the incorporation to take this into a resource to come with ideas is by thinking outside work. To takae a break when is need it.
I look for inspiration in different places, even if they are not related to the topic. I take a break when needed to recharge or even watch a movie, which also serves as a source of inspiration.
i need to speak to people from other backgrounds and ask them vaugue questions which i can apply to what may want to work on. then i need to lay out the framework of what I am working on.
Well I don't really have a process , sometimes I am in my bed in silence and concentrate if that is the mission, others I reach on Google for exmples to see if I can do something BETTER, not COPY, because that is a very common thing that happend to almost all the people, they COPY ideas, and that is a terrible mistake, I strongly do not agree in the act of Copying or IMITATION, is so easy to relate and, well, I think it's not fair for the one that got the idea in the first place, many people tend to COPY IDEAS, and in my opinion that is a LAZY way to get out of the way, anyhow. It is important to create NEW and ORIGINAL ideas ALWAYS 😉
I usually start reading about a topic from different angles to grasp an overview of it. Then, I try to find similarities and differences and to come up with an idea of what I want to write about and how. sometimes, I just need to stop the process and let my mind focusing on something totally different - so that my ideas can be somehow original or interesting
I simply try to look for inspiration by listening to music, reading a book/ document, or watching a video (music video, blog). When I have enough information, I can make ideas.
One thing that help me to come up with new ideas is to listen music and relax, also search for content where i can inspire from, also observing all the things that the people doing and if they go throgh good results!
I don't necessarily have a process, but definitely observing in my place of work helps me. Seeing interactions between staff members, how the process works in a medical setting, etc.
One thing I do to help come up with new ideas is research and observe. I see what everyone else is doing. I see what everyone else is not doing. I keep a document with random ideas and pieces for continuous use. I think I could incorporate this into the process suggested by Young; Gathering, Digesting, Unconsciously Processing, and Eureka moment. As of right now, I don't have a process and I am excited to try this!
