Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?
My creative process works with trends, along with social media and creative thinking. Writing down whatever comes into my mind and coordinating with another idea most times
to create new piece of work i need to be alone in my own headspace to clear my thoughts and think how i am feeling and from there an innovation strikes.
To come up with new ideas I mostly hang out with friends and bring up the topic I'm working on. I ask for their opinions and listen to their input. From there , I get alot of great ideas, which I can then combine to come up with something even better.
I do lots of researches about the things that's really related to me and my future. It helps me to get a good and clear idea about it. And sometimes it motivates and inspires me.
To create a creative process I will first research the current trending topics and what type of content is working for that specific industry I am focusing on and the individuals within that industry. Then will research what type of content is created on social media platforms and blog websites of that specific topic. Once the research of both is done, I would prefer a brainstorming session with myself and my collaborators present to get ideas, insights, and feedback on the specific topic.
One thing I do to spark new ideas is set aside time to research trending topics and explore what’s working for others in the industry. To make this a repeatable part of my process, I’ll add a regular “inspiration session” to my content framework, where I and my collaborators can share fresh ideas and insights we find. This keeps our content relevant and gives us a steady flow of new directions to explore.
My creative process starts with gathering inspiration from social medial or podcasts. Writing down any initial thoughts or concepts that resonate with me. I subconsciously process ideas and filter though the most relevant ones to refine them into a clear concept. I ccan organize my process into stages like research, reflection, and review.
I go into research, from search engine to social media and also make enquiry from people in that niche, afterwards I gather a information I've gotten, go through it thoroughly, get some space from it simultaneously processing it in mind and putting together relevant information, before I know it ideas starts to come and I put them down in a note, send it to a third party for review
For my creative process, since I am in the beauty industry, I get inspiration mostly from scrolling through makeup content on Instagram and TikTok. When I get ideas, I write them in my note (for iPhone) or on paper, and build it out. Then I do some further research to see if my idea has been done by someone else recently and how it was done, to avoid copy.
Then I think on it and create the content. Either I film or repurpose an old video or photo. Next is editing it in a story form when possible.
Before posting, I dig for a trending audio that would be suitable for the topic I discussed or portray in my material or the mood I set etc. I create an image on Canva or build out the text in the video.
Finally hashtag research. For more visibility and reach, I have to research possible hashtags that can be easily searched by people who need a solution.
My creative process encompasses several crucial steps:
1. Prompt Understanding: I start by dissecting the user's request to fully understand the context and requirements.
2. Information Gathering: I tap into a comprehensive database and utilize my training data to collect pertinent insights and ideas.
3. Conceptualization: I engage in brainstorming viable concepts, themes, or solutions that the prompt inspires, considering various angles and perspectives.
4. Output Organization: I arrange the ideas into a structured format, ensuring the clarity and logical progression of thoughts.
5. Content Refinement: I meticulously review and polish the content, improving the language and style to enhance engagement.
6. Delivery of Final Output: I provide the refined response, prepared for the user's evaluation.
This methodology enables me to craft responses that are both creative and informative.tailored to user needs.
I use OneNote to keep track of ideas that come to me. They are broken down into tabs for each subject area. When I am struggling to come up with an idea I will review some of the ideas that I jotted down.
My ideas often come from industry research and trends. I consider our expertise and what the audience might be interested in, and produce content accordingly. I then write down my ideas, pass them to someone else for approval, and start developing the content. I make a draft, send it out for edits, and continue refining it until the final product is ready for publishing
One thing I do to generate new ideas is to keep an inspiration board where I collect interesting content, industry news, and competitor insights. This board helps spark ideas and gives me a sense of emerging trends.
To make this part of a repeatable framework, I could set up a shared board (like a Pinterest board, a Trello board, or a folder on Monday.com) where everyone on the team can add their finds. We could schedule a weekly 15-minute meeting to review the board, discuss standout ideas, and brainstorm how we might apply them. This approach not only keeps inspiration flowing but also ensures the team can continuously build on each other’s ideas!
Start watching and retaining more content pieces and try to formulate an idea by combining your understanding of the content watched . Also , use ideas from others especially your competitors and analyze what they do and what content they produce and the topics they touch to give you some idea how you can do it yourself in your unique way.
My creative process is flexible. Sometimes, I begin with an existing idea, whether it's a word, location, or influencer, and then dive into research. Other times, I start with research first, gathering insights before anything else. After that, I engage with my colleagues, asking questions and brainstorming together. We piece different ideas together until we arrive at something concrete.
My creative process relies heavily on unconscious processing, where ideas and insights often emerge organically from a relaxed state of mind. I find that my thoughts flow most freely during quiet moments, particularly when I'm walking or running. In these solitary activities, I allow myself to let go, easing any deliberate focus on problems or tasks, and instead simply letting my mind wander.
This mental relaxation allows ideas to rise naturally from the deep repository of knowledge, experiences, and impressions stored in the recesses of my subconscious mind. By tapping into this inner space, I can access creativity that feels less forced and more genuine—often revealing connections and solutions I might not reach through structured thinking. This process helps me bring out my best ideas, surfacing them when I’m least actively searching for them, and it enables my work to feel both original and intuitively grounded.
