Having a process also allows you to think of ideas that may not be easily apparent. What's one thing you do to help come up with new ideas? How can you incorporate this into a repeatable framework (for yourself as well as those you collaborate with)?
Something I do to help me come up with new ideas is to delve into outlets that bring me inspiration. From creators I admire to books I love and podcasts I don't miss a beat of, I can almost always get myself out of a creative rut by simply surrounding myself with the things that bring me such inspiration to begin with, which I guess can be defined as 'unconscious processing' if I were to really break it down. Even websites like Pinterest can consume me with a wave of drive and, as this lesson has stated, it tends to come to you when you least expect it.
I can attempt to incorporate this into a repeatable framework but never losing sight of what makes me "me". By nature, I am a creative person to my core who has ALWAYS been drawn to anything that forced my hand to paper. So, naturally as I got older, I only continued to carry such qualities within me (never losing sight of that inner-child if you will lol). I believe that as long as I continue to find passion in such a field of life, it will always remain a consistent. And the second if/when I no longer admire it for all that it is? I can only hope that if the time were to ever come, it was only because i found something that brought me greater joy.
I consume a lot of content and I am inspired by others; however, in a lot of instances I have a euraka moment. I think I could benefit from a more systematic process.
My creative process typically starts with gathering inspiration from various sources such as books, music, art, and nature. I then spend time brainstorming and fleshing out ideas, often using mind maps or sketches to visualize different concepts. Once I have a clear direction, I begin the actual creation process, whether it's writing, designing, or problem-solving. I also make sure to take breaks to avoid burnout and to give myself time to reflect on my work. Feedback from others is also crucial in shaping and refining my creative endeavors. Overall, I find that a balance of structure and flexibility helps me stay productive and innovative.
This might sound insane, but on my morning commute I drive in silence. No music, no podcasts, nothing. Just me and time to let my brain truly wander. I think we feel the need to constantly be entertained and to consume media when our brain actually needs time to be curious and rest in order to then come up with those original ideas on its own. What started out as just my morning commute has turned into me rarely listening to anything while driving because I find that my brain is most cretive during that time. Would highly recommend trying it out!
I listen to music every day and nearly all day long, and it's usually determined by the YouTube Algorhythm so I am continuously exposed to new sounds and creators. Additionally I host a weekly open mic so I am alwways introduced to new ideas and creators at my events. I enjoy going to jam sessions and other artists shows whenever I can and try to do a minimum of one other artists show per week to keep my ear to the streets. I also read the monthly newslewtters from music distributors and my DJ service so as to stay abreast of the industry beyond my home city
Just as the course suggests, I tend to read/view and otherwise intake widely and with curiousity. However, when it's time to create, my business has a creative meeting where we brainstorm, collaborate, combine ideas and sometimes generate things that no one has thought of before. It's done in the collaborative spirit. My intake of things helps me bring new angles and ideas to the table for us all to work with.
My creative process begins with gathering as much context and information as possible to understand the subject deeply. I then brainstorm ideas and explore different angles, allowing inspiration to flow while keeping the target audience in mind. Finally, I refine the ideas into clear, engaging content, ensuring it is both thoughtful and impactful.
i watch other content digest them and relate with whatever i am advertising them create an idea from it.I treat my brain like a Wi-Fi router—keep refreshing until a signal (idea) shows up.
As for me , whenever I got in under pressure of something, many idea come flowing to me . But I have to list them down properly for how will they actually work and which will be more effective . Sometimes I got ideas from something I've read about it heard about , it might be different from them bit there's always a element of it . So raw materials also helps .
I have a range of ways to produce new ideas. There are some hobbies that I like to do that often give me a space to relax, be isolated, and reflect on my days. During these times I am able to think deeply about topics uninterrupted. Another way I generate new ideas is speaking with my grandpa. I call him as often as I can and we converse with each other for hours on end and converse about different topics all of the time. Because we cover so many topics and he has much more to share about his experiences, I can learn about topics that are not usually brought to my attention that other people may find interesting. This is important because it offers another bridge to a different niche of customers with each new idea and topic.
My process is quite similar to the one described in the video. I like to gather ideas from past campaigns and let them sink in before I start something new. I’m always looking for ways to improve by building on what’s worked before. Combining the old with fresh ideas seems to hit the sweet spot every time
Creativity comes only with a quiet mind, so I first try to relax myself or rather generate ideas on days when i am calm and composed without undue stress surrounding me. Then
1.I introspect what new feelings ,events or news I read on my niche area recently
2. Try to first come up with a suitable title for those insights
3. Introspect again my view on that title
4.Research on the subject sometimes taking help of AI and write down ideas
