The SMART goal I'm working forwards to at the moment is to become a successful content creator whose aim is to help the planet through green innovations and programs. I want to fully commit to my social networks and have a plenty of content I'm satisfied with by the end of the year.
I aim to become a certified Open Water Instructor through Scuba Schools International by New Year’s Day, cross over to PADI to operate as an independent contractor, and establish my own scuba instruction business. I will register my business as an LLC, acquire divers insurance, and provide scuba gear for my clients. My goal is to build a sustainable business, teaching scuba diving at my private pool and lake, while using content marketing to share my personal story and attract clients.
M - Measurable:
I will measure my progress by:
- Completing the Open Water Instructor certification by January 1st 2025.
- Registering my business as an LLC by the end of January 2025.
- Acquiring divers insurance and necessary permits within two weeks after LLC registration.
- Providing scuba gear to clients by February 2025, allowing me to fully equip my students.
- Creating a content marketing plan and launching social media campaigns by March 2025, aiming to secure at least 5 clients by mid-year.
A - Achievable:
This goal is realistic, as I’ve already completed much of the training necessary for the Open Water Instructor certification. Registering an LLC is a straightforward process in Florida, and divers insurance is widely available for small business operators. I have a unique selling point with my private lake and pool, and I plan to use cost-effective digital marketing strategies to reach clients.
R - Relevant:
This goal aligns with my passion for scuba diving and my long-term ambition of becoming a self-employed instructor. It will allow me to leverage my property to create a successful business, providing me with flexibility and the ability to share my love of diving with others.
T - Time-bound:
I will achieve the following milestones:
- Finish Open Water Instructor certification by January 1st 2025.
- Register my LLC by January 31st 2025.
- Acquire divers insurance by February 14th 2025.
- Have scuba gear ready for clients by February 28th 2025.
- Develop and implement a content marketing plan, targeting a client base by March 1st 2025, with the goal of booking at least 5 clients by July 1st 2025.
My goal is to become an effecient professional digital marketing manager freelancer by end of november 2024.
I have taken my time to reseach on google and youtube the necessary courses required of me.
I have also watched some videos on youtube and now presently taking this content creation/writing course with Hubspot.
I believe applying every steps and guidelines given to me here on hobspot will definately make me a proficient and professional content writing creator.
As someone who is trying to build as much HubSpot knowledge as possible as well as becoming more versed in Marketing, my immediate SMART goal is to obtain a HubSpot Marketing Content certification.
Specific: Obtain a HubSpot Marketing Content certification.. Measurable: The academy does a very good job at tracking your progress through all of their courses. Achievable: Given my determination, basic understanding of the need for marketing content and the HubSpot Academy, this is easily achievable. Time-bound: I plan to complete this by the end of November 2024
A 'SMART' goal I am working on this year is to graduate with my BA in Marketing. Although it may seem simple, the academic road is a LONG one and requires immense amounts of thought and planning in order to execute to the best of your ability. Here my goal is in finer detail along with ways I am managing to hold myself accountable!
Specific/ The goal of "graduating college with my BA in Marketing" is one that is very specific, giving me not only motive, but an "end goal" in mind at all times. I am constantly learning more on my own time, gaining certifications that will only benefit me down the road, and simply remaining present!
Measurable/ The school system itself basically measures your progress for you, making this step quite simple in this case. By keeping my course map in mind, it is quite easy to see where I am at/what else must be accomplished before receiving said degree.
Attainable/ Gaining this degree is EXTREMELY attainable in my eyes. Due to the fact it is something I want to my core so badly, and believe that it will only brighten my future in the job world/everyday life. I have already proven to myself that I am more than capable of seeing this through, and would never set myself up for failure in regard to my education (much less one that I am paying for lol!)
Relevant/ The goal of attaining my degree is extremely relevant because, well, I NEED it in order to take the next step in life. Transition from a job into a career. This is relevant to my mental health, my overall well-being, everything I currently am and want to become. As it is something I think about nearly every day, its relevance remains EXTREMELY high within my life on a day-to-day basis.
Timely/ Although I am what some would like to call "a super senior" in college, I am proud to say I am doing things on MY timeline; not the timeline society attempts to force upon you at the age of 18. Once I dove back into the academic world, I have held myself to personal timelines; and can proudly say I have accomplished each and every one. By keeping up to date on things like my to-do list and calendar, it makes it much easier for me to hold myself accountable to such standards. Setting myself up for success one intentional habit at a time!
My SMART goal is to increase website traffic by 30% in six months through improved SEO and content marketing. I focus on keyword research, quality content creation, and building backlinks. I track progress using Google Analytics to ensure steady growth.
