What is the difference between good text and text for SEO?

It seems to me that when reading SEO text, it becomes clear that it has been artificially created for specific keywords. Is it the same for everyone?

I believe the key is to strike a balance between writing with SEO in mind and with the audience in mind. Crafting content for keywords' sake is definitely not the way to go and I don't think that all the content out there is similar.  There is a lot of good text out there that is valuable for the readers while being well optimized for SEO.
