Storytelling framework in action

Regardless of the story you’re trying to tell and how you’re trying to tell it, storytelling has three essential elements:

  • Characters
  • Conflict
  • Resolution

Choose one of your favorite brands, and tell their business's story by answering the below questions.

  • Who is the brand?
  • Who is their audience?
  • What challenge are they helping their audience to overcome? How are they doing it?

What challenge are they helping their audience to overcome? How are they doing it? The unlikeliness of finding a long term relationship on a dating app. 

How are they doing it? The hinge app has a 'profile prompt' feature where its users can show off their real personality.

CedCommerce - It's a company in India that provides eCommerce solutions

Audience - sellers selling on online marketplaces or looking to switch from offline to online selling

Challenge - the seller faces issues if he/she wants to sell his/her products on different marketplaces at once. It's kinda hard to manage them together. So, to help them out, CedCommerce provides them extension that connects all the seller accounts on different marketplaces with a centralized platform. It saves sellers time and makes the selling process easier and efficient.

Shopee is an digital e-commerce platform which is well known in Indonesia.

Their audiences is mostly people who have limited times or limited transportation to do shopping in actual market, which also people who need to know lowest price of things they want to buy.

To help their audience (or customer), they set up flash sale in hourly time, and give the customer to pick whoever merchant who give them the best prices. Also they give the review of each merchant to help customer to know and consider the merchant whic customer want to buy.
