My name is Vivana Granado and I am new in this course.

My role right now is as an Assistant and Social Media coordinator at California Western School of Law, and I worked temporary as a Social Media Coordinator at the University of San Diego.

What excites me the most is to create something new. And help entrepeneurs to grow their brand on Social Media, so their future clients, can get to know them.

Hey! My name is J. I currently work in staffing and recruiting, but I just moved over from the mortgage industry. What excites me most about content marketing is the opportunity to practice engagement. I have a background in writing and performance, and I love the feeling of clearly and effectively communicating with an audience. I've been following Pentagram for a while and I like Creative Review. The podcasts I most like are not directly related to marketing, but Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend and Intelligence Squared are a couple of my favorites.

The content I'm currently working on ranges from email and social campaigns for events to RFx and, soon enough, white papers for a company that provides back office services for independent workers all over the globe. This is a huge change of pace from my last job creating marketing materials for loan officers and writing blog posts on homeownership.

To top it off, this company is expanding really quickly. We have 4 practice areas and a total of 9 buyer personas. I'm the only in-house content writer, and they seem to be leaning on me for not only written content but also strategy. I'm new to this industry, and I don't feel too comfortable approving strategy in other countries where I don't understand the regulations. I want to make sure my content is compliant.

I'm fully remote, and my team is all over the globe. We're in the middle of an events season, so people are in and out of the "office," which leaves me to fend for myself a lot. I would really appreciate a team of other writers who can help me navigate this new space. The increased responsibility (not to mention salary) at this job is really exciting, but it's also pretty nerve-racking. I could use a little advice and encouragement.

I recently had the opportunity to experience the back-end of Hubspot through a recent contracting gig, and I LOVE their interface and their holistic approach to marketing.
