I am excited to see you in the Hubspot community. A major in English will definitely give you an edge in the content writing domain.
I have met numerous content experts from an English background.

Here are some key ideas to start ruling the content world in the digital jungle:

• First Course: content-marketing by Hubspot academy 
• Second Course: Contexual marketing 

Once you finish these courses, you go for some foundational learning of digital marketing iif that's your goal but after these 2 courses, you will get an idea of where exactly you see yourself in the long-term 🙂
