For example, right now, I'm listening to a podcast about dreaming, dreams, and their nature. Psychology is such a big part of content marketing if you want to continue connecting with your evolving buyer personas. Keeping up with current events can help keep your finger on the pulse of how the nation and the world at large are feeling about things today. Are we happy as a culture? Are we sad? Are we moving forward, or taking one step forward and two steps back? How can we use our content strategy to stand out in a world saturated with marketing efforts? A previous HubSpot Academy course stressed that lead generation is all about building trust, and it was right. I am working on content for several clients for my company, SmartBug Media. My clients include Calloquy in the virtual litigation space, and Forte, a company that combines crypto with gaming. I'm also excited to start writing more for my other clients, like National Processing, a credit card processing company that seeks to differentiate itself. One of their goals is to stop having potential sales-qualified leads approach the company thinking it's a credit card company or create content that will convert such misguided would-be leads into genuine ones, if appropriate. My name is Laurie and I have been a public relations and communications practitioner for about 20 years, specializing in media relations, issues/reputation management, crisis comms, internal and executive comms. I took a bit of a break following a pandemic-related layoff, and doing some freelance writing/pr as well. I also love to write and one of my 2022 goals is to finally start blogging.

Otherwise, I'm in the midst of searching for my next full-time gig and want to get stronger in my technical skills along with content marketing and digital marketing. I love all things content and there are tons of great content marketers I follow on Twitter. Also getting a lot out of some Twitter Spaces I've found -- #PRLunchHour on Fridays at noon EST.
