Hi! I'm Nic Stevens. My current role is acquisition manager for a local media company. I've been in the media industry for the last 21 years the majority of that time I've been in the digital content or advertising space. Excited to see what new content marketing tactics I can learn through this group.
"My current role is a **Clinical Officer**, primarily working in a primary healthcare setting. My recent experience at Dawa Health involved frontline diagnostics and crucial maternal and child health services, including RPR for syphilis, RVD for HIV, RDT for malaria, blood grouping, and comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care. I'm deeply engaged in patient care and community health."
**2. What industry do you currently work in?**
"I primarily work in the **Healthcare industry**, specifically within primary care and public health initiatives. This involves direct patient services, diagnostics, preventative care, and health education."
**3. What excites you most about content marketing?**
"What truly excites me about content marketing, especially coming from a clinical background, is its immense power to **democratize health information and drive positive behavioral change on a wide scale**. In my daily work as a Clinical Officer, I see firsthand the impact of clear, accessible information on patient outcomes. Content marketing offers a platform to bridge the gap between complex medical knowledge and community understanding, enabling us to reach far more people with vital health education, promote early screening, and foster healthier lifestyles. I'm passionate about making health understandable and actionable through compelling content."
**4. Do you have a favorite blog, podcast, video series, or newsletter that you would recommend to other content marketers?**
"While I don't have one single 'favorite,' I highly value resources that demonstrate how to translate complex information into engaging, accessible content. I'd recommend looking for content that focuses on **evidence-based communication in specialized fields** – whether that's health, finance, or technology – as the principles of clarity, trust-building, and audience engagement are universal. For general content marketing strategy, I find insights from established platforms like **HubSpot's blog or the Content Marketing Institute's publications** to be consistently valuable for understanding trends and best practices."
**5. Any new content that you’re working on right now?**
"Yes, I'm currently conceptualizing and beginning to develop content that directly leverages my clinical expertise for public education. Specifically, I'm exploring creating a series of easily digestible **blog posts and short video scripts aimed at demystifying common health concerns and promoting preventative care within local communities**. Given my hands-on experience, topics like 'Understanding Your Malaria Test Results' or 'Key Steps for a Healthy Pregnancy Journey' are areas I'm keen to cover. I'm also considering how my practical knowledge from my Power Electrical course could inform content around general safety and basic electrical awareness, perhaps for home or workplace environments."

Hi, I'm Faris. I'm a Media & Communications graduate with hands-on experience in a media agency and the events industry. Over the years, my experiences have shaped my understanding of how brands connect with audiences across both digital and traditional channels.
For me, marketing and content are always user-centric. It’s about delivering meaningful experiences, building trust, and creating lasting connections. My passion lies in the strategy behind all of this, from planning and ideation to creation, maintenance, and critical auditing of content. The goal is always to deliver heartfelt content by visualizing the purpose, understanding the audience, and communicating with empathy and impact.
I'm especially drawn to storytelling that moves people, such as documentaries, editorial visuals, and cinematic expressions. Some of my inspirations for tone, rhythm, and emotional resonance include Kubrick, Tarantino, and Rumi. I'm currently excited to deepen my understanding as I step into a content strategist role. I'm also exploring how to use AI to enhance content without compromising creative independence.
Some of the platforms and tools I use include Medium, The Wall Street Journal, Vox, Forbes, Isentia, MySocialTools, and StudioBinder. For useful resources, I highly recommend Ahrefs and Buffer Blog. Lastly, I’d love to hear any tips or platforms you’ve found valuable. Cheers!

I'm Ruth Ojo and I'm currently a content and creative writer.
A few years back, I signified interest in learning content marketing but my journey started from first learning and being a certified Content writer.
My interests also lies in creative writing. I love fiction and creating worlds with words, I also love sharing my story.
In recent times, I've seen the effectiveness of being visible online and the benefits it brings. However I've also come to understand that, just showing up online is not enough.
You need to know what and why you're showing up online, and in my search for more knowledge, I came across HubSpot Academy, I also providentialy stumbled on this content marketing course and I decided to give it a chance. Might as well gain more knowledge on something that interests me.
I love listening to podcasts on Spotify and although I wouldn't say I have a favourite podcast, I'll say I love this particular podcast "Figuring life out with Ajegbile Oladimeji." I also love reading Dan Koe's newsletters(although they can be a bit lengthy sometimes, but I still love how his mind works.)
I'm quite active on LinkedIn and I currently write on Substack, the name is Ruth Ojo on both platforms.
I look forward to all the knowledge and information I'll get from this course and implementing it as a content writer.💌
Hello, my name is Jeremiah Omuyoma. I am a social media specialist in Light Global Media industry and I am excited to leaarn more about content marketing. I am still new so I dont have any content that I am working on yet.
Hello. My background is in education, and I am looking to pivot into a new role as a copywriter. I was told that my first step on this journey is to learn marketing since copywriting is essentially writing sales copy.
Being able to create content that is engaging enough to build community and drive sales/conversions sounds like an incredible skill to be have, so I am looking forward to learning the strategies that will allow me to do just that.
I don't have a favorite blog, pocast, etc., but hopefully via this process, I will learn of some that I should check out. As far as content that I am working on, I am not working on anything right now; I am just looking forward to learning a lot in this course. I am 100% in student mode, right now.
