Looking for Freelance Writing Courses
Hello everyone, I am new here and I would like to try my luck in online staffs, specifically article writing, kindly can you advice on the free courses I can take to supplement it?
I don't know of any free courses for article writing, but I hope at least these tips could help you find them:
1. Ask yourself why or (better yet) am I?: The usual generic advice is to establish a 'why' for doing what you're doing. Problem solved! Right? Probably not; trust me, I didn't know how either. Instead, it's more useful to ask yourself 'Who am I?'. The most useful answer I can come up with is 'What do I care about?' In answering what you care about, you have a much better idea of answering 'Who am I?' because who you are is defined by what you care about, no? So there's a good why! Take some time to ask yourself more of these questions and finding the right course should be much easier.
2. Having established your why/identity, do things you would conceive of yourself as doing such: Now that you know who you are, you can then decide on finding things you would do. This means reading articles and blogs that you would care about! This would then allow you to dive into your unique niche, interests and focus when writing blogs and articles.
3. Pay attention and take notes. Just as you're reading articles and blogs, pay attention to the specifics; how they're written, what language they use, what makes them readable, how you feel about them, etc!
That should do for now! I hope that's helped in some way!
Thanks for reaching out to the Content Marketing Study Group!
Would you be able to clarify what you mean by online staffs? Are you referring to online staffing jobs or freelance writing jobs? Thank you!
Best,
Kristen
