Improving your content creation process

Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).

Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.

To improve my content creating process, I am planning to update our workflow, making it more detailed as possible. Additionally, I will propose to my team to brainstorm on our content offer, and to understand think now in terms of the stages (awareness, consideration and decision).

For my content creation journey, I believe my next step will be to engage with my audience by asking about their interests, dreams, and life projects. Whether they've already achieved them, how the experience was for them, how they managed to get there, how long it took, or if it's something for the long term. I plan to interact through questions, posts, making videos, or simply sharing my journey and waiting for feedback.

I would ask my teammates and seniors to give feedbacks on my current content

Hi there,

For me, content creation is a never ending process. In my time as a business owner/artist, I think the one thing I can do to improve my process is to make content more aligned to the different buyer's journeys my audience is going through right now.

Improving your content creation process means making it easier, more effective, and more enjoyable. Here's how you can do it in simple terms:

  1. Know Your Purpose: Understand why you're creating content—whether it's to inform, entertain, or sell something.

  2. Know Your Audience: Figure out who you're talking to and what they care about.

  3. Plan Ahead: Make a schedule or a list of topics to write about so you don't get stuck.

  4. Be Creative: Think of fun or interesting ways to present your ideas. Don't be afraid to try new things.

  5. Make It Good: Take your time to make sure your content is well-written, helpful, or entertaining.

  6. Share It: Once you've made something, share it with others on social media, your website, or wherever your audience hangs out.

  7. Learn From Feedback: Listen to what people say about your content and use that to make it even better next time.

  8. Keep Learning: Stay curious and keep learning about what works and what doesn't in content creation.

I believe taking the opportunity to find out the audience's needs, wants and preferences ensures that they feel heard, seen, and valued. Allowing them to contribute to the content creation process impacts the brand's reputation as well as visibility.

Dear Karma

I will post on Google Trends to find out what is new in the fashion industry. The feedback I receive will help me improve my Dress-Making Business.

Thank you

Veronica

Improving your content creation process

I think what will currently help me is to create a more streamline content framework one year in advance. So far, I have been focusing on pushing content out every month but it'll be really helpful for me to create a long-term plan content-wise.

One thing you can improve on is for me grammer and making sure you properly state what you are trying to accheve.

Reviewing the content creation process from time to time through surveys and forms, identify pain points and what worked well can help in improving the process every time.

What process? Currently, it's just me, myself, and I doing all the steps. BUT that's why I am here, because it was feeling more than a little chaotic. It can't hurt to build out a process now so that when I am ready to expand my team, there is already an organized process in place. Having a Google Sheet with all the content I am working on and seeing what stage I am at should help keep my priorities straight and take the chaos out of my head and organize on "paper".

Same. It's funny when I began my content creation, I was able to organize everything in my head easily. However, the more things grew out, the more difficult everything became. A spreadsheet will be ideal. More than that, I think having more in-depth objectives for uploaded content will help.

Currently, our content creation process is largely free-flowing. However, to enhance its structure while preserving the organic creative flow, I believe implementing a workflow will help us. By establishing a workflow, we can clearly define roles and expectations for each team member. Additionally, it will serve as a roadmap, guiding us in determining when to outsource tasks, such as SEO optimization or editing, to specialists.

One step that I was seriously lacking in was the editing phase. Looking back on when I was a freelance writer managing a small team, I should have clearly defined the specific traits that an editor needed to look for. Also, my system (a Google Sheet which everyone on the team could access) could have used a row for "Status," to inform everyone which phase a specific article was at.

Once I start actively working again, this time helping out my daughter and daughter-in-law with their respective businesses, I'll apply the 5 steps, especially the conceptualizing part, to developing the frameworks. Organization will be key since both businesses will require different forms of content.

From now on I will begin to identify and communicate the responsibilities of each of the people on my team, I will keep track of the designated dates and status of each content.
