Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).
Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.
One thing I know I need to improve on is planning and consistency. I am going to reserach, map out my content before creating to fully understand what exactly story I am trying to tell. Furthermore be consistent I posting.
In a non-profit setting where staff typically wears multiple hats I would now consider adhering to the adage, 'Many hands make the work light' and recruit and engage staff members, volunteers, and past clients to help create content and assist with editing.
To improve the content creation process, we should plan our topics and research them thoroughly, create a clear structure, write a draft, edit and revise our content, optimize it for SEO, and share it on various platforms to reach a wider audience.
Settling on a content creation framework and optimising blog posts through search. Defining my workflow and most importantly creating content according to my audience's needs.
Creating a concept that is easy for clients and the audience to understand. We get lost in all of the colorful images and content of a post, but if we can't figure out what the content is, then it makes it hard.
For me content creation process can be improved by adopting less complex methods and ncreasing the time effeciency. The content needs to be sent out in time and needs to be repetative.
For me, i utilize my peak periods, i plan my content by creating a content calendar so it's easy to know what content is going up on a certain day. i also utiliuze trends for example, trending instagram audios to create contents that have a huge propensity of going viral.
For me, I will have to review my past works, the basis that forms my content decisions and results so far. Only after doing this will I be able to track what has been wrong and how I can come up with a repeatable and agile framework for my future contents.
I would create a collaborative Excel sheet to keep track of ideas and who is working on what. I also think that organizing/saving past content is a step that my organization has overlooked, so coming up with a descriptive naming and filing system would be extremely beneficial.
For me, it would be documenting my existing content creation process. Once I have done this, I will be able to develop a framework that is more realistic and efficient.
It would be finding out my peak period/time and utilizing it well. Planning my content around my peak time or when I’m most productive would allow me to be more consistent with content creation and putting it out.
creating a system where I can organise already-used content so I can find them easily later, organising my days for different content creation steps eg. having a filming day.
For me, First I will review past performance. It doesn't follow that I should develop content without taking into account what has gone before just because the new year offers a fresh start. My current asset inventory needs to be filled in with my new material. Also, I ought to want to expand on successful material. Hence, take some time to look over my performance statistics and analytics before getting started.
Second, establish meaningful goals. It's not enough to just create content; each piece that is released needs to be in line with a goal. With a strategic objective that the rest of my organisation is striving towards, assign both new and old parts.
Then, plan my content strategy. Just half the battle is won by producing goal-aligned content that appeals to my clients' needs and desires. The other part is making certain that it gets to them. I have to give my content distribution plan top priority if I want to keep it from disappearing into an internet black hole.
Finally, set deadlines to keep up in time. Nearly every aspect of life is impacted by deadlines. In contrast to "at my earliest convenience," a specific deadline might motivate action. Yet, many factors than only the rate of content creation will affect my deadlines. For instance, I must allow time for legal review if I work in a highly regulated field. Create a review procedure with deadlines to keep organised and compliant in the coming year.
for me its to conduct a customer research survey. This survey can help me understand my target audience's needs, preferences, and pain points. With this information, I can create content that resonates with my audience and provides them with valuable solutions.
In the survey, i can ask questions such as:
What smart home devices are you interested in purchasing?
What features are most important to you when selecting a smart home device?
What challenges have you faced when using smart home devices in the past?
How do you typically research and learn about smart home devices before making a purchase?
What type of content would you find most helpful when researching smart home devices?
The answers to these questions can provide valuable insights into the needs and preferences of my target audience. I can then use this information to create content that addresses their pain points, highlights the features they care about most, and provides them with valuable information to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
