Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).
Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.
I will stay up to date with the current market trend and also adjust the timeline if needed accordingly to what's new. To get feedback from the team on what needs to be improved and also make sure everything is properly organised and accessible.
Create content calendar for batch content creation that takes company events into consideration and includes and appeals to different stages of the buyer's journey.
I need to use a content calendar and learn to batch create content. I could improve this by creating a detailed framework for creating content per platform and even persona
To improve my content creation process I will definitely create surveys to be completed not only by those that I collaborate with, but also surveys to be completed by some of my target audience. By doing so i will be able to receive feedback from both parties regarding how to make it easier to work with me as well as ensuring that I can edit my content according to the feedback received from my target audience.
I will also ensure that there are more open discussions with my team members as well as industry experts that work in the various fields related to my product or service. This way we have feedback from many different perspectives that can then be looked into.
Through all of this, I can then create a Content Creation Workflow that has a great flow, is clearly organised and has a complete outline of the steps to be taken from initial creation to publication. The outline will ensure that everyone involved has a clear outline of what is expected, due dates, timelines and publication dates. This will in turn ensure that my content creation is faster, better and more streamlined.
I would ensure to have a great workflow in order to be a able to deliver a good content from the initial stage to the publication. And also ensure to have a team that i work with to help review the contents.
One of the importance of having a team is so as to improve on ideas. I now in this case, improving contents can be made easy with a team of experts in various fields and perspectives. It should be quite a easy one with a team to review the contents
I'd love to improve the current content creation process by utilizing more collaborative resources such as Trello to help make the creation process more seamless. Historically, my creative teams have used different resources and links and this can be challenging for version contorl. Having a centralized working resource will help keep things not only in an organized place but we as a team will be able to review, provide feedback, and execute content for our brands more effectively and efficiently.
@kara_susvilla I admire your last point that resonated with me, "The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.".
I have trialed in my new role as a Marketing Director, a.k.a Connector and man let me tell you, having a Content Creation Framework would not have been possible in the beginning. For this to work, I needed to know:
1. My personnel. Whom I am working with on this creative team, what are their strengths, what drives their passion, and what diminishes their creative processes?
2. What is the goal of this quarter? Specifically, I work around collegiate students for academic and personal success and trust me when I say this--their desire for content is mass and never-ending. So what is our creative teams' goal moving forward?
3. How can I form an organic workflow for a team that is diverse and carries individuals with various skills in different areas? ex: Graphic design, content creation, written communication, oral communication, etc.
Essentially, how can we as a team be easier to collaborate with?
The answer...
Go forward without a framework and create 1 standard goal to follow. Learn through trial and error. Then come back after 6 months and have an honest communicative team session answering these questions.
1. What went well--> 2. What roadblocks did we see--> 3. What do we need to work on to avoid roadblocks next time.
