Improving your content creation process

Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).

Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.

Improving your content creation process

I'm a beginner in content creation, so I don't have a specific process in place. However, after the session, I'll start to develop a clear content creation process.

Yes! I’m in the same boat. I’m sure this course will help us build an effective content creation framework in the future.

Before now, I usually created content without any structured process But after this lesson, I’ve realized the importance of having a clear, repeatable system to plan, create, and publish content efficiently.
I’m going to start by creating a simple content calendar and organizing my ideas better, so I can stay consistent and reduce stress while creating.

Improving your content creation process

Since I'm the only one on my team, and my goal to make social media content, I need to do a better job at staying consistent with scheduling when I'm going to create and edit said content. Creating a content schedule of what I want to go out and when will also help with continuing to be consistent on different social platforms. Hopefully, continuing in this course will help me also be able to review content that I have posted so I can make the appropriate changes and continue growing.

Since I don't have a team, and my main goal is to simply build momentum on platforms I want to grow in, I would simply just create a schedule with posts written in advance, maybe use a third-party app too. I'll focus on content optimized for SEO and AI visibility.

I never really had a clear system for content creation, and never really thought about the buyer journey for content creation. I guess then for me is to create a clear system and incorporating the buyer journey before creating the content, to ensure efficiency as well as relevance.

Before creating the next piece of content, I will review the current process to see how it works. Coordination between staff is extremely important, making them understand the work and the process. After each piece of content is published, I will survey the staff who have worked on that content, perhaps by meeting together or separately, to see if they have any problems or need feedback?

I will create a more detailed content framework, so that I can get a clear idea what I need to create. After that I will start to write the content so that it perfectly fits in the framework to get what exacly I want. Before that I was blindly creating content without any framework which led to a lot of confusion afterwards.

For me, I would want to keep projects organized and on track, as well as make expectations clearer for collaborators. One thing I could do to improve my content creation process would be to build a clear content calendar with defined stages and deadlines, examples such as the process with idea, draft, review, publish, and promote.

I could create a more detailed framework. A lot of the time it is created on the fly as ideas are brainstormed. It also needs to be written down and typed out so everyone is aware of everything in it.

To improve my current content process, i'd first pick a niche or two, biuld a content calendar around them and batch create content to boost my consistency.

Hey, @NZoucha 👋 Do you ever use voice notes for this? Sometimes on my walks I dictate headlines, content, and other ideas to myself. That way I don't have to slow my process down, and can just let the ideas flow. — Jaycee

Improving your content creation process

For me, one thing I could do to improve my content creation process is to build out a simple content calendar. That way, I can plan topics ahead of time, stay consistent, and give anyone I’m collaborating with a clear idea of what’s coming up. It’ll help reduce last-minute stress and make the whole process more organized.

Improving your content creation process

Hi Bérangère, thank you so much! 💛

I totally agree, having a content calendar makes life so much easier. Right now, I use Google Sheets to plan out topics and posting dates. It’s simple but really helps me stay on track and flexible when things change.

I haven’t tried the Social Media Content Calendar Template yet, but I’ll definitely take a look, it sounds super helpful. Thanks for sharing that!

One little thing that works for me is doing a monthly content brainstorm. I’ll jot down a bunch of ideas in one sitting and then spread them out across the calendar. That way, I always have something to post even on busy days.

Curious to hear how others do it too, always love learning new hacks!

I’d create a simple content playbook with deadlines, style notes, and workflow steps so collaborators have a clear roadmap making the process smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.

Hi @AGhafouri,

That’s a fantastic approach, thank you for sharing your strategy!

Creating a simple content playbook with clear deadlines, style notes, and workflow steps is a great way to set everyone up for success.

Giving collaborators a well-defined roadmap not only streamlines the process but also helps maintain quality and consistency across your content. Plus, it definitely makes the work more enjoyable when everyone knows what to expect and how to contribute!

If you have any tips on tools or templates that have worked well for your playbook, we’d love to hear more.

Thanks again for contributing to the conversation and inspiring others to optimize their content creation process!

Have a fantastic day!
Bérangère

Improving your content creation process

For me, Researching, and understanding my audience deeply are the heros for content creation, just putting myself in their shoes, what would I need to read? how would I like to read it? how am I going to be satisfied at the end of reading? and differ my personal needs and preferences from my audience is crucial in this stage, so research is also a must to balance this.

Improving your content creation process

I have learnt that I need to be more detailed and concise in my process. I usually have a general idea nbut struggle to create a framework that best outlines my ideation process. At the moment, I need to keep track of all the comments made by my editor during the review stage. By doing this and making a list of expectations, this wouldd help me reduce the occurrence of the same mistakes. More work also needs to go into my research process before presnting my content offers/ideas.
