Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).
Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.
I’m planning to create a clearer content process that helps me match the right message to where the buyer actually is—whether they’re just learning, considering options, or ready to decide. I’ll look at how people engage with my content, ask for feedback, and be more intentional about planning, reviewing, and editing before anything goes live. I don’t want to assume—I want to build trust and be patient with the process, not just push to sell.
I think really defining the stage the buyer persona is at. I think a lot of the times we come at them with the right product but in the wrong stage of their lives. It almost feels challenging to ask myself if i will be as intentional in creating content when it comes to building content that helps businesses creat history with the potential customer, gain trust and be patient with the process vs. just creating content to sell right away.
I want to find ways to identify these. I do not want to make assumptions so i am open to hear any thoughts on how to identify which stage is the potential buyer on?
Before I create my next piece of content, I should organize the ideas I have into buyer's journey stages to tailor the content to the correct audience and plan a timeline so that the content can be released in a more efficient manner.
I am going to create a more structured content framework for myself and clients. This framework will include dates to be worked and dates to be published, buyer personas, buyers journey, topics, etc
Proper time management for content creation is essential. Rushing a campaign can undermine the significant investment you've made in it. Without sufficient time to execute, you risk cutting corners, which can ultimately prevent your campaign from achieving the success you envisioned.
For me i think i would currently find some tools or different sources from where i can get ideas of my content as currently i am focusing on content ideas. When we get content ideas then it is easy to execute becaure then we have a clear path which we can follow.
I am currently in the process of simply forming or coming up with content. I have no team, I have nothing recorded, so I hope to work on gaining the knowledge that I need. I have an outline of what I would like to talk about, but now I can revisit that document and make the changes needed before I start recording.
I am going to write down the estimated time it will take for me to do every step in the process! I will also time myself everytime I'm working on the content. I tend to overestimate how much I can do and stress myself out at the end of projects so I think it'll help me plan out my time more if I am aware of the *actual* time it takes for me to do things
Staying organized consistently! I'll spend a good amount of time setting up a great organization system, and then never actually follow through with it. A few weeks later, it's a mess again!
Across multiple positions at multiple companies, I've found that the review process is often far to ad-hoc and unorganized. In more than one case, I've finished a piece of content, only to find that there's no clear idea of who will be reviewing it - will it have to go to the CMO? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Will the first reviewer be this person or that person? It often seems to vary based on who is around and has time.
If you really want content that sings, a clear, organized, repeatable system has to be in place. That's something I'll insist on in the future, even if I have to take the initiative to build it myself.
