Your content creation process should be something that's clear, repeatable, and organized. It's important to evaluate your process from time to time to see how it can be improved (for you and those you collaborate with).
Before you create your next piece of content, what's one thing you could do to improve your current process? For me, I'm going to create a survey via a Google form and send it to those I collaborate with to get their feedback. The easier I am to collaborate with, the more people will want to work with me.
Communicate with the content creation team by clearly defining roles and always leaving room for feedback and adjustments. Allowing sufficient time to get quality content published instead of only caring about meeting deadlines. Use surveys or teams meeting specifically for discussion and feedback - kind of like a group brainstorming session.
Through feedback: i'd consider using a QR code poll and apply tools like Google Forms then print a QR code for my teammates to scan with their phone and vote digitally
One effective way to improve your content creation process is to establish a content calendar. This calendar will help you plan and schedule your content in advance, allowing for better organization and time management. It can include deadlines, topics, platforms, and key performance indicators to track success. This not only keeps you on track but also enables collaborators to know what to expect, making it easier to coordinate efforts and align goals.
Research and Planning: Spend more time researching your target audience and planning content that addresses their specific needs or interests. This ensures your content is relevant and valuable.
Consistency and Schedule: Create a content calendar to stay consistent. This helps you plan content in advance, ensuring a regular posting schedule, which can improve audience engagement.
Optimization for SEO: Optimize your content for search engines by including keywords, meta descriptions, and relevant tags. This improves discoverability.
Engagement and Interaction: Incorporate more interactive elements, like polls or Q&A sessions, to engage your audience and encourage participation.
Repurposing Content: Repurpose high-performing content across different platforms or formats, such as turning a blog post into a video or social media post, to maximize reach.
Collaboration: Involve others in the content creation process for fresh perspectives, whether through guest posts, interviews, or collaborations with influencers
One thing I am implementing is content batching. I have an idea what my following wants to see from me on my platforms but content batching and creating a clear calendar for creating is going to be big for me. I think it will allow me to be more consistent and clear with my audience.
One thing that helped me was making an Excel sheet (or Google Docs, same difference). I documented things like: popular hashtags (for Instagram), vocabulary words my audience uses (including colloquialisms), places they hang out digitialy, etc.
Was it a lot of work? Yes. But it was certainly better than keeping it all in my head. Human brains are great for ideas, terrible for keeping them long term.
