How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

By expansion, it means to increase. So how I will expand the value of my next piece of content is to get the best part of my blog post, turn it into videos and post it on YouTube. I will also take the topic I used for the post and change it into different topics and post it or rather do a guest blog on other websites that are offering guest blogging.

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

I would publish my content on my blog and then take the subheads to create carousels for Instagram. Moving forward I would take up the most valuable and catchy piece of content to twitter

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

I learnt this from my manager during my internship. I made content plans specifically to repurpose and recycle old published content on blogs to make them infographics to post on other social media channels.

I learnt this technique from my manager and it just has worked wonders for me. Well, she started off by saying "How many pieces of content do you want to write every week?" and I just had no specific number to give I said I'll have to write according to the deliverables. She just said, let's do one thing; Let's create two hero pieces every week, this can either be a blog post, a newsletter or any content format for that matter. Let's understand this with the help of a blog as a hero piece;

- We create one hero piece, i.e. one blog every week which is centered around one theme.

-We then decide the different content formats that are be drawn from this hero piece.

So the blog is written in such a way that we're able to repurpose it into 3-4 carousel posts, 4-5 reels, 8-10 pins, 4 tiktoks and many more.

If something newsworthy comes up, like a study that supports a blog topic I've written, I could use it to "expand" on the topic. For example, this blog post: "Simmer Down, 60-Second Breathing Technique to Regain Control,"  might be a good technique to pair with a new report on "Road Rage is on the Rise." Once I've combined the new topic with the existing material, I could share this on other mediums... 1) Create a companion YouTube video that explains the news report and demonstrates the breathing technique. 2) Extract an image, video clip, or infographic from this enhanced blog post to share on Social Media as a teaser with a linkback. 3) Take content to create a graphical handout that a manager can share with their employees, a teacher could share with their students, or a person could appreciate on their own.

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

By applying the ACE method:

Step 1: Choose the most popular post that I posted before

Step 2: Consider if there are any contents that need to be removed or adjusted

Step 3: Look for the other related posts from me or other resources, then input them into my post but as a subtopic

Step 4: Expend my topic more according to customer comments

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

A great strategy that I've found to be helpful is taking a longer piece of video content and creating it into a bite-sized micro content for social media. Then, taking whatever concept is being talked about in that piece, and expanding on it in a blog post. I'll hyperlink micro content clip into the blog post to tell readers they can discover more there. That brings more traffic to different channels and allows me to use one idea in a number of formats.

I would repurpose my next piece of content by converting longer form content like blogposts to shorter form content for Twitter threads and shorter form content like Instagram reels to longer form content like YouTube videos using the ACE method. I will adjust, combine and expand original content to create new content for various social media platforms. For the purpose of efficiency, this would be done while making sure that I am addressing buyer's concerns at their different stages. This is to help me ensure that I am choosing the right content format and platform to access and influence  my target audience at all times.

My go to method for repurposing content would be adapt a high performing blog post into a YouTube video.

Other methods like SlideShare, TikTok, LinkedIn are equally interesting, but one step at a time.

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

I can repurpose content for my next piece of content by adopting the ACE method:

A for adjusting, that is adding, removing, and re-wording the piece of content that is already created.

C for combining, that combining related or unrelated content to provide new value and meaning to my post.

E for Expanding, that is, creating more content on what has already been created. For example, adding other sub-topics to the topics I already have.

Using bullets to highlight the original piece of content I created before. Recycling my blog post into video content, infographic, or podcast and sharing across all my social media channels where my audience is.

This is very essential because my audience has different ways they consume content better, and they need to see my content over and over to make a buying decision.

I can repurpose some already existing content by putting it into different formats for different platforms. So, I could take a current blog post and turn it into a step-by-step thread on twitter. I could take the blog and turn it into a hack guide on tiktok. I could turn the blog post into a short summary and post it as a reel on Instagram and so much more.

I started by doing research. Especially research related to similar topics and competitors. After that, just update.

I can extend the value of my next piece of content by editing it and transforming it to a different format for a different platform. My next piece of content will likely be a blog, but I can identify the most important parts and highlights of the blog and turn it into a short-form piece for social media. I can also create graphics to go with it in order to make it more appealing to viewers and fit for social media.

I'm about to do some in-person pottery workshops, and for that, I'm going to put together an instructional worksheet for the students to follow (and take home). I think I can repurpose the step-by-step instructions in that worksheet into a series of IG/FB posts, a blog post, and maybe even a video or podcast.
