How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
It takes a lot of time and energy to create a piece of content. Keeping this in mind, how could you repurpose your next piece of content into new formats? Share with us in the comments below.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
Say I was building a catalog of movie reviews for the year by posting the reviews on social media. I could take these reviews and create a blog listing the best movies of said year.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
For my next piece of content, I could repurpose our social media posts into blog posts (with the social media posts as smaller chunks of information and in-depth content left for the blog). Multiple blog posts could be made around one topic of our industry, which could then be linked together to create a guide/checklist.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
It was a great suggestion (in the last HubSpot video) to repurpose a long content piece, especially if it's an informational one, to break it down into multiple pages and send it across over email. This would allow users to digest information step by step and not be overloaded. This would additionally allow for engagement on a longer-term basis. Overall, I learned how to effectively convert a long piece into a campaign.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
Creating a Series: I would like to align my content into several pieces, each related to the other in some way
Editing : I would edit older posts as I move one to keep my content fresh and relevant
Social media Posting: I would post my content in different social media platforms and make changes in them accordingly. For example making a short video for instagram, creating a meme for facebook, etc.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
To extend the value of my next piece of content, I can repurpose it into different formats, such as:
Social Media Posts – Break down key points into bite-sized content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Infographics – Summarize important data or steps into a visually appealing infographic. Short-Form Videos – Turn the main ideas into engaging Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts. Email Newsletter – Share highlights with my email subscribers and link back to the full piece. Slide Deck – Convert the content into a presentation for webinars or educational purposes. E-book or Guide – Combine related blog posts into a more in-depth downloadable resource.
By repurposing content, I can maximize its reach and engage with different types of audiences
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
As an independent author, most of my content is through the social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, and BlueSky. What I would do is repurpose my social media content into a blog post that expands upon the idea and provides helpful tips. I could then make a longer video of it and actually show the step-by-step process. I would like to delve more into blog posts and longer videos on YouTube. It's just having the time to do so.

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
Since I haven't been posting much material lately, my first step should be identifying and sorting out the content I already posted. I am familiar with cohesion techniques and multi-platform posting but needed to get into the specifics. That's why I entered this course. I also think that I might have missed the point and had gotten stuck on the general personal blogging, so I have to take a step back and see what my blogsite is all about. Connecting my blogs like a network is an interesting idea as it gives way for more subtopics to choose from. I just hope that I have enough time to sort through all of them. If not, I could just implement this method on any future socmed presence I plan to build in the future.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
With my content, I would like to build a repertoire of subtopics, branching off of what topic is most appropriate for my audience, and my content plans on expanding from the roots into more digestible forms of content - such as infogralhics and graphic designs - that make the content more digestible. It is similar to HubSpot's methods.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
I would start with written content, most likely a blog post. I would make sure to format my post content into clear sub topics (with bullet points) so that I can expand them later on in a different format, say into social media posts/stories or a newsletter series. That could give me the opportunity to create multimedia on the topics discussed which I can later compile into a video course or e-book. At the end I can go back and provide a content offer at each stage that can maximise the number of people who interact with and make use of my content.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
I’d start by organizing all of my blog posts and identifying key topics. This would allow me to repurpose them into different formats, such as social media posts, infographics, or even an eBook. By doing so, I can maximize their reach and provide value to different audiences across various platforms.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
Repurpose your content into different formats like social media posts, videos, or infographics. Update and optimize old content with fresh data and SEO improvements. Expand reach by sharing in newsletters, collaborations, or republishing on other platforms.

Great way to engage your audience! Here’s a slight refinement to keep it crisp and inviting:
"Creating great content takes time and effort—so why not make the most of it? How do you repurpose your content into new formats to extend its value? Share your best tips in the comments!"
This keeps it engaging while maintaining a natural flow.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
I want to position myself as a member of the content marketing team at The North Face (an outdoor gear brand). Here are 6 ways (2 for each stage of buyer's journey) I would repurpose TNF content (and the whys):
concept: chunk down the Primary YouTube Video into 3 short-form vertical videos
"He Attempted The Most Difficult Rope-less Climb in History. Will Alex Make it to The Top?" = high suspense, fast-paced snippets video edit, highlight the high risk potential leading to death, ends with victory and triumph (as the climax) why: hook the audience by setting up expectation and reveal it at the end of the video, keeping audience sitting on the edge (elicit emotion: fear, hope, and adrenaline)
"If You Were Alex, What Would You Do?" = show most intense scenes of Alex's hands and feet placement strategy + drone shots showing how high and how steep the wall is while stressing on the fact that He was free-soloing (climbing without rope) why: position the audience to empathize with Alex, "what would you do?" as an open question creating engagement and feels more personal
"and So Can You" = focus on highlighting Alex's perserverence, determination, focus, calmness, greatness + crew's commentaries about Alex and his insane free-solo attempt why: center the POV to the audience (second person POV - You/Your), aim to inspire the audience to be fearless, pushing limits, brave and encourage audience to explore more, to dare, to discover what they're truly capable of (these terms are strongly associated with TNF branding)
2️⃣X Threads & IG Carousel
concept: bite-size storytelling the full documentary + visual aids (pictures, GIFs, Video Snippets)
Thread/Slide #1 = hook headline "We Doccumented Alex Honnold Climbing El Sandero Luminoso 2,500 ft Cliff... WITHOUT ROPES. Here's Why It's Absolutely Insane"
Thread/Slide #2-3 = Introducing the conditions and challanges: what is free-solo?; how is it dangerous? "No Second Chance"; where is the cliff?; what are its characteristics?; is it suitable for free-soloing?; free-solo rules and restrictions; etc
Thread/Slide #4 = Alex's preparations until the big day, highlight how eager and motivated He is for the big day "I was just like, I'm Ready. I'm sick of hanging around with ropes." (add: TNF gear placements)
Thread/Slide #5 = Alex start the free-solo attempt, highlight how insane it is: the equipments, the duration, the climb path, etc
Thread/Slide #6 = highlight His hardest moves "one slip = instant fall" + how tense the crews are watching Him
Thread/Slide #7 = Alex's victory, how he felt
Thread/Slide #8 = Alex's proper introduction of who he is + CTA "Wanna learn more of how exactly he did it? Tap The Link Below" leads to another repurposing content (consideration stage)
why: easy to digest, engaging, mix of entertainment and education, adding the 'behind the scene' process
🌿Consideration Stage
Goals ➡️ educate, show TNF credibility, and deepen their connection with the brand
3️⃣YouTube Video & Blog Post
Concept: commentary video, deep study analysis article post
Working Tittle: "Free-Soloing 2,500 ft Luminoso Break-Down Analysis: Alex Honnold Explaining The One Climbing Grip Strategy that Kept Him Alive"
Hosted by Alex Honnold Himself, explaining his thought-decision process, analyzing each steps he took especially his most viral, hardest move, how the gears he used and wore helped him (TNF soft-selling). bonus: sharing what was on his mind the entire session, how was he feeling, etc
for the blog post: adding quotes from a fellow free-solo climbing athlete (who are also a content creator) for social optimizing
why: audience in this stage are invested in the story and now curious on how exactly Alex did it, and they want to hear it from Alex himself, so we need to facilitate the education.
4️⃣IG Carousel
Concept: TNF explaining tips for doing free-solo climbing (visual concept: text on top of image/video)
slide #1 = "Not everyone is at Alex's pro level (yet), but anyone can start somewhere", shows photo of Alex Honnold free-soloing
Slide #2 = "would you dare to climb ROPELESS? Here are 5 essential things that increase your chances of survival"
Slide #3-7 = the essential tips
Slide #8 = a cliff landscape or candid photo with the climbing series logo
why: showing TNF authority and experties in climbing sport + giving entertaining & light but also very insightful education
🌳Decision Stage
Goals ➡️ push audience to take action and purchase
5️⃣Dynamic Landing Page
Concept: Create custom adventure gear bundles based on user preferences
"What's Your Next Rock Climbing Adventure? (Discover new climb with the right gear kit)"
take the quiz and get recommendation of amazing place and gear kit
get 10% off each item from official website (only available for 12 hours - showing count down)
get 55% off full set bundle purchase from official website (only available for 12 hours - showing count down)
why: giving free consultation in a form of quiz, help user to make personalized decision, create urgency to take action
6️⃣UGC Challenge: "Your Fearless Moment" (IG and TikTok)
Concept: community-based challenge to share their story to win prize
"Share Your Near-Edge 'Thank God' Rock Climbing Moment using The North Face Gear and Get Invited to a Rock Climbing Session with Alex Honnold at [X]!"
video or carousel format
limited for 10 most-voted moments
The content of 10 winners will be featured on TNF's official page
why: UGC build social-proof, creating FOMO, the incentive increases brand loyalty

How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
The original social media post was to showcase a recent photoshoot. I have repurposed the images in a strategic plan to build a guide blog on how to book a family portrait photographer. The new post will demonstrate the different portrait styles or aesthetics that a photographer can shoot in.
How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?
I can repurpose my next piece of content into a short-form video (Reels/TikTok) by summarizing key points with engaging visuals and a voice-over to reach a wider audience.
