Finding it difficult to make my client believe in the need for Content Marketing
Hi, I recently came across a prospect who needs a Content Marketing Specialist but is just not ready to believe in the fact that the brand the she owns is in dire need for any Content Strategy. How do I make such a prospect believe in it? Please help!
Finding it difficult to make my client believe in the need for Content Marketing
Hi there, I joined the group minutes ago but I'm very intrigued about your query. I feel like I have been there in the past...
I would probably say to your prospect something along the lines of: "Imagine if you had articles on your site answering the top 5 questions people ask about your product or service. How many of those readers could become customers just because you helped them first?
Content marketing is about helping your customers before you sell to them. Think of it as answering their questions, solving their problems, or even entertaining them with your expertise. This builds trust, keeps your business top-of-mind, and makes it easier for people to choose you when they're ready to buy.
Unlike ads that stop when you stop paying, content keeps working for you—it brings people to your website, engages them, and can even turn them into loyal customers over time."
I hope this helps. For me the most important things to explain are that it helps build trust and credibility, that helps with visibility and that it can help generating leads.
