Hi @SKaushalya and welcome to the Community! There's no magic formula to succeed in digital marketing. I can tell you from my personal experience that I started in TV news as a producer (writer, show producer, video editor) and made the move into marketing.
I think a few things that helped me were my storytelling skills, technical aptitude, and a curiosity to keep learning. Thankfully, I found HubSpot and all of the folks involved with their helpfulness (and this was back in 2010 when it was a young company and Community & Acadmey didn't exist).
So I dove in head first into every helpful piece of content to learn from. Then I worked hard to create content that resonated with the audience I served, analyzed it, and grew the team from me to 10 people.
If you're asking about how to find work in the field, I'd suggest networking while you create a portfolio of work. You can do this through volunteering for smaller nonprofits to help with their marketing and communications. You could also build your own personal brand with content, developing skills and a library of content.
Hope that helps some!

Hi @SKaushalya this is such a good question - and there are many ways it can be answered!
Here's what ChatGPT recommends and I think this is a great starting point:
To become a digital marketer, there are several qualifications and skills that can be beneficial:
1. **Educational Background**: While not always necessary, a degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field can provide foundational knowledge.
2. **Digital Marketing Courses and Certifications**: Specialized courses and certifications in digital marketing from platforms like Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics), HubSpot, or Coursera can provide practical skills and credibility.
3. **Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyze data and derive insights from digital marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics or other marketing analytics platforms.
4. **Creativity**: Digital marketing often involves creating compelling content, designing ads, or devising innovative campaigns to capture audience attention.
5. **Technical Skills**: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, SEO principles, and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) can be advantageous.
6. **Social Media Expertise**: Knowledge of various social media platforms and how to effectively utilize them for marketing purposes.
7. **Communication Skills**: Clear communication is crucial for digital marketers to convey messages effectively through various digital channels.
8. **Project Management Skills**: Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
9. **Adaptability and Learning Agility**: Digital marketing is constantly evolving, so a willingness to learn new technologies and strategies is important.
10. **Understanding of Consumer Behavior**: Knowledge of consumer psychology and behavior to create targeted and effective marketing campaigns.
While formal qualifications are valuable, practical experience through internships, freelance projects, or personal digital marketing efforts can also be highly beneficial in building a successful career in digital marketing.
