What makes a compelling blog post?
Blog posts enable you and your business to publish insights, thoughts, and stories on your website about any topic. They can help you boost brand awareness, credibility, conversions, and revenue. Most importantly, they can help you drive traffic to your website.
But take a moment and think about the last blog post you read. What made you want to read it? How did you feel after you finished? Did you make it to the end? What makes a blog post compelling and engaging?

Compelling blogs solve or expound upon an area with added information, knowledge and resources. The best way to do that is with multiple medias while engaging the audience.
Compelling blog posts include timely and relevant answers to a pressing question held by your customers. They are concise and easy to read, establish credibility, and ultimately spark a desire to continue the conversation.
It used to be a chore for me, as I thought that I needed to create content in order to get leads. But that's a d depressing chore, not a motivating goal.
Instead I write about how my advice has helped people. It's much more enjoyable for me, and I think/hope it feels authentic and useful for the readers.
Here's one trick I use to get ideas & inspiration. I look at my old emails to find long, detailed explanations or advice I've given customers, especially if I've gotten positive feedback from the reader. Then I repurpose that work for a blog. Early days yet, but I think it matches the spirit of INBOUND, and trust that the leads will come.
I'd love to hear how others get ideas for content topics.

I decided to read the blog because I needed information on a specific topic I was researching, but I stated on the blog's page because of the way information was laid out, the language they used, the present colour scheme and photos. and How did you feel after you finished? Did you make it to the end? What makes a blog post compelling and engaging? I made it to the end as information was presented and explained in a friendly and easy manner as well as the design of colours added to the atmosphere .

I wanted to read it because I specifically googled and found it based on interest I had already. After reading it, I felt frustrated because it was clearly just copied from another site I had just left and simply reformated. Information didn't answer my question, I got annoyed with the click-baitey title and went through 4-5 more.
I think what makes a compelling blog post is an article that is straight to the point, easy to digest, and answer the questions your visitors are looking for. Bonus if you include next steps or additional resources.
The best blog posts immediately establish credibility for the topic at hand. That is achieved through first-hand experiences, published research citations or original published research.
For me, compelling blog posts are the ones that answer questions I have about a certain topic. To expound on that, the answers are not merely vague "just for the sake of answering" answers, but really gets down to explaining clearly in layman's terms.
It's interesting to know more about good blog posts. They want to go and find out about the contributor or follow up to find out what's next. It is best that they want to comment and engage.
Good Blog posts intrigue you to learn more. They want to go and research the contributor or follow to see what's next. The best would be for them to want to comment and engage.
Good blog posts have a compelling title and lead paragraph. Make your readers want to read your post right away. But don't promise something with your title and intro that you don't deliver
